Organized primarily for the pur- pose of promoting the economic civic . and social welfare of the Valparaiso area, the Valparaiso As- sociation of Commerte, forlrred on June ?, 1912, has developed into a teal force in Valparaiso and a de- cided benefit to the city. Previous to the incorporation of the cham- ber of commer€€ an organization known as the. Commercial club ex- iste4 as far Eack as 1898.
