In the last 10 years, he has had over 100 article published on various topics in restorative dentistry.

COURSE OUTLINEIn recent years crown and bridge materials have improved signi cantly, but paradoxically, remakes have also increased. This lecture looks at the many variables that may interact to force us to “ t” or reject a crown and bridge restoration, and suggests technique changes and clinical hints that will mitigate operatory time and increase productivity. We will look at “hydrophilic” impression materials overall, fast set impression materials, bite registrations, articulation and occlusion, dual-arch impressions, and the use of symbiotic systems, eliminating the negative effect of hemostatic agents, the creation of instant matrices, and tissue-healing temporaries.

THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL BE DISCUSSED• The difference between a passive and active impression

• Why alginates can no longer be used in crown and bridge

• Plastic dual-arch impression trays with exible impression materials create too much variability in your nal result

• A bite registration after the crown and bridge procedure is completed may be the worst thing you do

• How to minimize the effects of hemostatic agents on the nal impression, eliminate the “black scuzz,” and eliminate the potential for bond failure

• Marginal preparation detail accuracy is still a challenge to many but we can increase accuracy by maximizing ow and adaptation factors

• A 30-second template material is a reality, whether a tooth is missing or not

• The interplay between temporization and temporary cement can create tissue health, controlling the environment facilitating cementation and bonding

COURSE OUTLINEHave you ever fabricated provisional restorations with heavy or open occlusal contacts? Have you ever found it a challenge to maintain tight interproximal contacts? How much do you charge to replace temporary restorations that crack or fail? There are a number of techniques for the fabrication of crown and bridge temporaries, many of which are unpredictable and consume valuable chair time. This program will present systems for the fabrication of temporary crown, bridge, and veneer restorations that lead to increased productivity, and time saving procedures that provide predictable clinical results.

Also reviewed: And you thought it was the lab! How simple observations of your PVS impressions can indicate whether or not you will have to adjust the occlusion or interproximal contacts of your xed restorations.

THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL BE DISCUSSED• What factors contribute to an inaccurate impression and how to

prevent them

• Bite Registrations, how they can be problematic for both lab and clinicians

• How to evaluate the accuracy and quality of your impressions

• Predictable technique for fabrication of full-coverage temporaries

• Effortless and aesthetic anterior veneer temporary

• Discuss the challenges with current provisional techniques

COURSE OUTLINEIn every clinical setting there are bumps in the road, some large and some small, or ‘slowdowns’ which alter our time, ef ciency, decrease pro tability, and can alter each patients ‘value’ in our delivery of care. From the simple procedure of the crown seat to a quality recording of a preparation, and from the decision of when to endodontically treat a tooth to the recommendation for an implant. When to bond and when to prep for a crown? How to bond teeth stronger and simplify our day-to-day restorative care and have our work look natural and undistinguishable from those around it. These are all clinical challenges we face every day. Making better choices and providing better dental care while decreasing the clinical challenges, will make each day better than what was happening prior to such knowledge. Making choices based upon “evidence based” studies and clinically proven materials, methods, and techniques makes all the difference in reducing the speed bumps and smooths out the highway for an ef cient clinical practice. Prepare for a wonderful lecture that will carry right into your clinic the next day you work.

dentistry each of ce provides. Increasing case acceptance and moving the treatment plans from the charts or computer into the chair

• Know the bene ts of implants, bone preservation, and tissue options for each dentist in their practice. The bene ts of preserving tooth structure and minimizing our levels of invasiveness

• Adhesion principles of the preparation, the bond, the placement, the cure, and nally the nish. Improving anterior composites with improved composite choices and posterior composites which look great and better, yet last

• Principles of chemistry and material science which will make each and every crown appointment less timely and more ef cient. Each crown seat will be much easier in your practice and principles of occlusion which will bene t each of ce and each patient

• Techniques, methods, materials, and principles which will address many of the clinical challenges we face every week in our of ces

It is equally important to consistently deliver optimal results using techniques that are proven and reliable. Today modern technologies (such as bulk ll composites, zirconia and lithium disilicate ceramics like IPS e.max, Captek periodontal crowns, hard and soft tissue dental lasers, and dental implants with improved soft tissue aesthetics to name a few) are revolutionizing the way we deliver aesthetic and functional dental treatment. Learn techniques to correct tooth and jaw malpositions when orthognathic and/or orthodontics are ruled out as a treatment option. Restorative materials continue to be developed and re ned that allow for the creation of lifelike aesthetics that are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth; however, the artistic ability of the dentist can still be the limiting factor on their optimal use. Unleash the artist within! Learn how these and other revolutionary technologies along with precise and proven crown and bridge techniques can elevate your standard of practice.

THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL BE DISCUSSED• Techniques and materials used to place morphologically

precise direct anterior and posterior composite restorations. What’s the latest on “bulk ll” composite materials and “sonic” delivery of composite materials?

• Aesthetic Crown and Bridge Techniques: Use of all ceramic systems and ceramometallic restorations in various clinical situations. Learn about Captek as a perio option for prosthetic tooth replacement, Zirconium milled crowns for posterior teeth and the versatility of lithium disilicate (IPS e.max). Learn about no preparation options for aesthetic veneers as well as a lower cost option to porcelain for aesthetic cases…Pearlfect Smile!

• Master Impressions & Temporization: Get it right the rst time, every time. Use of the doublecord technique and “cordless” impressions – a new standard for perfect impressions. Learn how to manage soft tissues for the most challenging clinical situations

• Treatment Planning Options: Learn which dental material for which situations. Learn creative treatment planning…what to do when it doesn’t go by the book. Learn how to have more treatment options for patients so that they are more likely to accept treatment!
