We should attempt to obey all of Allah’s laws.

It may be difficult but that’s just part of the challenges that we have to face while we live on

Shaytan will try to trick us into doing.

Our parents may seem to force us to pray or obey Allah’s rules. But they are actually teaching us how to

worship Allah correctly.

If there are no rules, there would be chaos in the world. Many people wouldn’t know how to show their Lord their gratefulness

or how to share with their Lord their sadness.

People would have nowhere to turn to in their darkest hour.

Al - Fiqh

The study of the

laws of Allah

The study of how to do ibadah (i.e. worship)

submit to Allah

(to obey Allah)

Q: Why should we obey Allah?

Our parents guide us sternly when we are young so that we can make good choices when we grow up.

By the time we are in our teens, we should be able to pray and worship Allah by our own choice,

insha Allah!

A: Allah is God. He is the Creator. He creates us and all other things.

He gives us “intelligence” or “smartness” to make new inventions, to learn new

knowledge, to read, to make good decisions or to overcome other

challenges.

With intelligence, we can think about consequences of our actions.

If we are knowledgeable and wise, we will realise that Allah has given us plenty of gifts in this world.

Gifts of sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing are just a few.

Those who are wise will thank Allah regularly for His gifts and blessings.

With intelligence, we can make our decisions wisely and not ignorantly.

Those who are wise will also realise that there must be a purpose

to this life of ours.

There must be a reason why we are here on this earth.

There must be someone who created the earth and its beautiful nature.

There must be someone who created us.

Some cells end up as blood cells, skin cells, or heart cells.

Some cells end up as liver cells, nerve cells or muscle cells and so on, so forth…

There are millions of cells in our body.

And each cell has its own function and purpose.

We cannot be here accidentally.

It is not by chance that we exist.

Scientists have discovered that every cell in our body starts out the same way but somehow it knows what

to become as it matures.

Some of these tiny cells may group together to form a tissue and

a group of tissues may combine together to form an organ.

So if a mere cell can know what its purpose is in life, what about us humans?

There must be a purpose for us to be made into humans.

There must be a reason for us to be alive.

There must be a plan for us.

God sent down the Prophets to guide us.

God gives us His Holy Books as a manual to guide us throughout our lives.

In order to be safe, we have to obey God’s rules and worship Him.

The study of God’s rules and how to worship Him is known in Arabic as

Al-Fiqh.Let us learn Al-Fiqh to find out how to live correctly.

There must be a God.

God must have made a plan for us.

God will not let us wander on this earth aimlessly.

Find out about Al-Fiqh from your parents, teachers and other books.
