Regional Selection Conferences of EYP Czech Republic 2019

VISION

This year’s Regional Selection Conferences of EYP Czech Republic will take place in the cities of Tábor and Uherské Hradiště during fall 2019. Both conferences are 4 days long, including one Training day for Officials, one Teambuilding day, one Committee Work day and one day of General Assembly. The Presidents of Tábor and Uherské Hradiště have been working together to propose a coordinated, yet individual vision, in order to offer all individuals a place to grow and develop.

The two RSCs of EYP Czech Republic will aim towards a perspective of inclusion, develop-ment and empowerment, that we hope to reach by creating a productive and caring envi-ronment for all participants. Each session has its own theme focusing on different issues, yet both stress the need for the youth to debate about our future within a globalised world and a modern society. The conference held in Tábor will discuss several topics addressing the importance of our individual, unique selves in a globalised space, while Uherské Hradiště will focus on how modern society impacts the development and education of individuals. With the aim to break down barriers, deconstruct our beliefs and reshape our perspectives, the two RSCs are willing to offer young Czech students the possibility to raise their voice and develop as individuals. For this to happen, we are looking for motivated and dedicat-ed applicants, who are ready to create this empowering environment, keeping in mind that both delegates and officials should be given the freedom to experience new possibilities.

INTRODUCTION

INFORMATION FOR VICE-PRESIDENTSThe Presidents of Tábor and Uherské Hradiště are looking for respectively 3 and 2 Vice-Presidents to support them in their work and help the Chairpersons throughout the en-tire process. For this year’s RSCs, there is a possibility for the Chairpersons to either apply for a single chairing position or to apply as co-chairing pairs. The idea is to give the possi-bility for each individual to experience chairing depending on their needs, whether it be as a solo Chairperson, or by sharing the experience with a person of their choice. Applicants

also have the possibility to apply individually while requesting a co-chair, in case they have not found a partner beforehand. The aim of co-chairing applications is to enhance trust and ef-ficiency within the pairs, by stressing the importance of collaboration from the very beginning.

Following this vision, we are looking for Vice-Presidents that are willing to experience a differ-ent concept for the Chairs’ Team and that are ready to take over this challenge with an open mind. Flexibility and active support for the Chairpersons and within the Board are impor-tant features we are looking for, in order to ensure a smooth and productive working process.

QUESTIONS FOR UHERSKÉ HRADIŠTĚ(2 Vice-Presidents)

We are looking for 1-2 Editors for each regional. You will have a team of 8 Media Team Members and 1-2 EAs. Both Presidents are envisioning a close bond between the leadership alongside the HOs and the Head of Jury, with frequent meetings and a common established vision that will flow through both sessions.

2. What makes you qualified to be the Editor of the 7th Regional Selection Conference of EYP CZ Tábor 2019? Please state examples of your previous work.
