Replacement School We made our Phase I Goal, $5,700,000 pledged and donated! Special Thanks for all those foundations that supported us to complete Phase I: Joseph E. Weston Foundation, E.L. Wiegand Foundation, Mur-dock Foundation, and Richard and Diane VanGrunsven Family Foundation.
Currently $271,953 has been pledged towards our New School Capital Campaign for Phase II. We thank God for blessing us so much!
Let us continue praying the Prayer of St. Michael the Archangel for a smooth transition into the new building and the beginning of Phase II. Please join me in praying:
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him,
we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host by the Divine Power of God - thrust
into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

From the Desk of Father Michael This weekend, coinciding with the great Solemnity of Pentecost, both St. Francis of Assisi and Visitation Catholic schools, will be honoring and celebrating the Class of 2019 graduates. However, I extend my well wishes to all those in our faith community graduating and complet-ing a significant accomplishment in their lives. I suspect that if you have attended a commencement exercises, we have all heard guest, faculty and student speeches. It is an opportunity for speakers to reflect upon this moment with which the graduates are experiencing. I am sure that in those speeches we have heard such words exhorting one to dream or never lose the desire to chase after one’s dream, or be yourself, or change the world to name a few. However, for us people of faith, it is really about one thing, the opportunity, the situation, the obstacle, the challenge, and the person that is in front of you. And it is how we are present to that person, situation, challenge, and opportunity that matters. Will we embrace all that Christ has taught us, shown us and invited us to do, say, think and act? It is in the choices that we make, good or poor that shapes the person that we become and re-veals the quality of our character of the person that we are. So to quote St. Teresa of Avila, a sixteenth century Spanish mystic who wrote:
God of love, help us to remember that Christ has no body on earth but ours, no hands but ours, no feet but ours. Ours are the eyes to see the needs of the world. Ours are the hands with which to bless everyone. Ours are the feet with which (Christ) is to go about doing good.
We are all called to be the eyes, lips, hands, feet, heart and body of Jesus Christ to the world. And my hope and prayer is that not only the graduates but all of us accept that invitation to be Christ-like to others with always relying and calling upon the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. Have Blessed Week and Congratulations Class of 2019! ~Fr. Michael
