orders for my future Company.
When creating this vision, I learned how
to experiment with different colors, tones,
font settings a mood envisioned for my
future company’s collection.

Creating A Collection
I created a sketch and full look for my
potential company Endless Glam. The
Fall/Winter 2015 collection was inspired by
the Kardashians and consisted of 8 looks. I
chose look 6 because it captured the fine
details within the jacket.

garment illustrations using a 2D dress form, in
Adobe Illustrator.

Event Coordinating
I planned and coordinated a fashion show for the
company Molten Lava. The event was named
“Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend,” featuring
evening gowns with form fitting silhouettes. I
created a press kit, mood boards, invitations,
guest lists, and more for the event.
Planning for the company Molten Lava taught
me how to plan events, choose venues &
décor to correspond to theme, plan tasks, as
well as roles throughout a fashion show.

The special event and evening wear retailer Molten Lava, located
in Los Angeles is presenting a small showcasing of their fall winter
2017 collection, at the local night club Exchange LA located at 618
S Spring St Los Angeles, CA 90014 on Saturday May 27th.
The event sponsors are Ruth’s Chris, Chambord, Maybelline, and
Getty Images. Doors will open at 9:30pm and the show will begin at
10:30pm. Semi casual attire is required for this event. Guest are
required to send a RSVP for seating at the live show. Other guest
that purchase tickets at the door will watch the show from the
Luxury Lounge where they will receive food and drinks.
The Molten Lava Fashion show will be the most glamorous event for
the month. Check it out because you wouldn’t want to miss out on
this!

For a Department Store I created a
customer profile for each location, to
pin point their demographics and how
much each customer spent on average,
their age, and income.
Throughout researching each location I
learned the attitude of sales, how to
display, buy, market, and merchandise to
each locations, behavior.

Product Development
I created a tech pack sheet for the Nordstrom’s
Brass Plum “BP” Winter 2015 Zip Detailed Sweater
Dress. Which included the color ways, item
number, sketched image, measurements, and
garment description.
The tech sheet is used as a directory for
manufacturers to use to create a sampled
garment. The sheet provides the length and
width of sleeves, neckline, waist, bust, hips,
back, shoulders, and total length of garment
within centimeters. As well as the length and
number of trim, hardware, finishing's used on
the garment.

Buying Plan
I created a six-month buying plan for a
Department Store. The department I bought
merchandise for was the Juniors Department.
Creating the six-month plan taught me how to
compare sales, ratios, stock, markdowns, and
purchases from the last year to predict sales for
the future. Using the six-month plan I could
pinpoint the markup, markdown, gross margin,
average stock, and turnover percentages from
previous year to help plan for the next, to
increase or decrease the percentages to beat
and the last years sales plan.

Purchase Order
For a Department Store I created a purchase
order and wholesale line sheet for TOPSHOP
merchandise in the Junior’s department.
Based on each locations volume of sales and
foot traffic helped me determine the amount
of items to order for each location.
I learned if a store has high sales and heavy
foot traffic volume I should purchase more
items to accommodate the demands of the
customer compared to a store that has a
lower foot traffic volume with lesser
demands.

Floor Plan
Here is a floor plan and layouts created for a Department
Store in the Juniors Department. The floor plan consisted
of two sets of fitting rooms, stock room which included a
restroom, office, and break space. On the sales floor, I
included a cash rep, table displays, face out & straight
bar fixtures, accessory shelving, and visual mannequin
displays. Each display layout that was created for the
department was made to appeal and draw the
customers in to buying the merchandise.
Creating the floor plan taught me how to
manage a floor space and placement of
fixtures, displays, & inventory.
