    Overview

    Toshiba Baiyun Vacuum Interrupters (Jinzhou) Co., Ltd. is a joint

    venture engaged in the manufacturing of vacuum interrupters

    established jointly by Japan Toshiba K.K., Guangzhou Baiyun

    Electric Group Co., Ltd. and Toshiba (China) Co., Ltd. with its

    controlling shares held by Toshiba Group. It's the manufacturing

    base of vacuum switch tubes. It sticks to the strategy of dual

    brands, namely, Toshiba vacuum interrupter and Liaoju vacuum

    interrupter. Its Liaoju vacuum interrupter is one of the top

    four famous brands in China.

    Nanjing Electric (Group) Co., Ltd. (the former name: Nanjing

    Electro-Ceramic Factory) was established in 1936. Through

    merger and acquisition, now it's the wholly owned subsidiary

    of Baiyun Electric Group; it's the manufacturing base of high

    voltage disconnectors; and its Thunderbrand registered in

    1937 is famous at home and abroad.

    Descriptive trademark is Guangzhou Famous Brand and

    Guangdong Province Famous Brand. High, medium and low

    voltage switchgear assembly is Guangdong Famous Brand.

    Besides its proprietary brands, it also manufactures many

    products with joint venture brands.

    It successively established three j oint ventures with Toshiba

    and Mitsubishi, and cooperated with Germany Si emens, France

    Schneider and Switzerland ABB for more than 20 technologies,

    and introduced the world advanced critical technologies

    including 8PT, VK and OKKEN products.

    For a number of years, the company has invested for more

    than 100 million yuan. It respectively introduced more than 50

    (sets) world advanced NC presses, NC shearers, NC benders,

    mechanical machining centers, bus bar machining centers,

    multi-purpose welding equipment and automatic spraying

    production lines etc. from Japan, Switzerland, U.S., Britain, Italy,

    Germany etc., and formed multi-functional metal plate and

    mechanical processing and production lines; its production

    LW41-126/T4000-40 SF6 Circuit Breaker is outdoor live tank

    circuit breaker, 3 phase, 50Hz, used in 126kV power system for

    cutting off load current, fault current and switching circuit. It is

    capable of 3 phase O/C and auto-reclosing, used to operate,

    control ans protect power system.

    This type of SF6 circuit breaker is self-developed product by our

    company, using SF6 as insulation and arc extinction medium.

    It adopts the latest self-energy arc extinguishing technology in

    the word, with the technical performance reaching international

    advanced level and leading position in China.

    It is featured with reasonable design, compact structure and low

    operating power. Spring mechanism is superior to hydraulic one

    for no leakage of oil and nitrogen. This kind of SF6 circuit breaker

    is the replacement product of SF6 puffer circuit breaker, having

    the advantage of low noise, reliable operation, fast installation

    and easy maintenance.

    sruurCircuit breaker is composed of three poles, cross-beam, column

    and spring operating mechanism (outline and dimension

    shown in drawing 1). Three poles are on top of the cross-

    beam, and the spring operating mechanism is right below

    the cross-beam. The three poles are mechanical connection,

    with each pole filled with SF6 as insulation and arc-extinction

    medium, connected by pipeline to form a gas circuit system,

    and monitored by pressure pointer type density relay. Electrical

    control system is placed in the spring mechanism box.

    During the opening operation, when the static main contact

    (3) and moving contact (4) separates, the current will transfer

    to static arcing contact (10) and moving arc contact (11) for

    continued flow, and the moving contact will keep up the

    opening operation.

    When breaking high current: during breaking operation,

    SF6 turns into high temperature and pressure gas by the arc

    generated by the separation action of moving arcing contact

    and static arcing contact (10). Before spout (9) laryngeal departs

    with static arcing contact, the gas flows into thermal expansion

    Nanjing Electric (Group) Co., Ltd. was restructured and became

    the wholly owned subsidiary of Baiyun Electric Group and now

    is the manufacture base of high voltage disconnectors.

    Nanjing Electric (Group) Co., Ltd. (Nanjing Electro-Ceramic

    Factory) has been producing high voltage disconnectors for

    more than 40 years; it's one of the important manufacturers

    of high voltage disconnector in our country. Products used forelectrification railway network system and si gnal indication

    include GW4, GW5 and FWZ series of outdoor high voltage

    disconnector, isolation load switch and equipped electric

    mechanism and manual mechanism.

    Rated voltages of products range from 10kV to 220kV, rated

    current includes 630A, 1250A, 1600A, 2000A, 2500A, and

    3150A, specific creepage distance has 16mm/kV, 20mm/kV,

    25mm/kV, and 31mm/kV, which is of complete range of types

    and specifications. The high voltage disconnector has high

    performance and has passed the test by state or provincial test

    center. Now it has tens of thousands machine units running

    in the state power system, among which GW4 series are well

    recognized by users to have reliable structure, flexible machine

    driven system, convenient operation, stable contact resistance

    etc. At present, its products have been sold to all Railway Bureaus

    of the Ministry of Railways. In recent years, its metal accessories

    including rod insulator cap, pedestal switch base frame etc. all

    employ hot galvanizing technology, which greatly improves

    the metalwork's ability to resist tarnishing. The company's

    disconnector and load switches have been successfully used in

    the railway projects including Beijing Kowloon Railway, Beijing

    Shenyang Passenger Railway, Guanghan High-speed Rail,

    Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity High-speed Rail, Guangdong-Hainan

    Cross-sea Railway, Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway, Kowloon-

    7. The product is not applicable in the following places:

    Places with fire or explosion;

    Places with sharp swings, shakes or i mpacts

    Places filled with chemical gases that can easily corrode

    metals and insulation materials

    8. Air pollution classes: no obvious pollution for the use of indoor

    products; pollution classes for operating ambient of outdoor

    products include class 0 (clear area), class I, class II, class III, and

    class IV, which shall be specified by the technical requirements.

    Accordingto theregulationsof GB5582-85ExternalInsulationPollution

    Classof HighVoltageElectricPowerEquipment,the minimumnominal

    specific creepage distance is 14.8mm/kV, 16mm/kV for class I, 20mm/

    kV for class II, 25mm/kV for class III and 31mm/kV for class IV. Specific

    creepage distance is the ratio of external insulation creepage distance

    andequipmentmaximumvoltage.

    contact network system without carrying current and

    electrical isolation between the electrical equipment under

    maintenance such as primary busbar and breaker and the

    GW4-27.5DW outdoor AC high voltage disconnector for electrification railway is 50HZ outdoor HV electrical equipment. It can be

    used for the switch of alternate current 27.5kV contact network with voltage and without load as well as the electrical isolation

    between the electrical equipment under maintenance such as HV busbar and circuit breaker and the energized high voltage line. It

    GW4 series high voltage disconnector is single-phase dual

    column horizontal open circuit structure; it's mainly composed

    of base frame, rod support insulator, current-carrying part

    and electric Operating device. Each phase has two support

    insulators, which are respectively fixed to the bearing chock

    on both sides of the base frame; they are connected by cross

    member and can rotate horizontally; their intersection angle is

    90. The conduction knife switch is split into halves, which are

    fixed to the support insulator respectively; contact point of the

    contactor is in between two support insulators. The terminal

    employs flexible connection, with simple structure, reliable

    contact and is convenient for repair.

    GW4-126 high voltage disconnector can also be used for high-

    profile layout (namely, operated with the control mechanism

    drawn out). Parts and components for the intermediate driving

    section will be provided along with the disconnector.

    GW4-126 series can be furnished with CS14G manual control

    mechanism or CJ11 electric control mechanism; the earthing

    switch is furnished with CS14G manual control mechanism;

    the manual control mechanism can also be used with DSW4electromagnetic lock.

    It uses slot aluminum as the main conductor; it has large area of

    dissipation, high intensity and is safe and reliable; the earthing

    switch uses flexible configuration and can turn right and left

    conveniently.

    GW5-110D (W)/630/1250 Outdoor Triple Pole Mounted Disconnector

    GW5-126II(DW) series disconnector is mainly composed of

    three single poles; each pole is composed of base frame,

    support insulator, right and left contactors, grounded knife

    switch, electric Operating device etc. Two support insulators

    are respectively fixed to the rotary bearings of the pedestal, in V

    type. Intersection angle of axial lines is 50; bevel gear joggle is

    under two bearing chocks; the right and left contactors are fixed

    to the top of support insulator; rotation of the bearing chock will

    drive the synchronous rotation of the support insulator, thereby

    to open and close two contactors; three single poles can be

    interlocked by the interlocking drawbar.

    This series of disconnector can be grounded on one side,

    on both sides or ungrounded. CS17F and CS17D manual

    control mechanism with the angle of rotation being 90are

    used respectively for it. There is mechanical interlocking and

    electromagnetic lock on the control mechanism to make sure

    the operating sequence is right.

    In order to meet user needs, this series of products can beinstalled in five different ways, namely, horizontal installation,

    inclined for 25, inclined for 50, side installation (inclined for 90

    and upside down installation.

    VBP indoor solid-sealed pole vacuum circuit breaker is 12kV-

    24kV three-phase alternating current 50Hz indoor high voltage

    switchgear; it's applicable to the control and protective cable,

    overhead line, transformer, current motor, current generator and

    capacitor bank in power transformation and distribution station,

    and can be widely used in power plant, power grid, metallurgy,

    petrochemical, and urban infrastructure construction projects

    such as airports, buildings, metros etc.

    High reliability

    Compared with traditional integral type breaker, the number

    of solid-sealed polar pole breaker's parts and components,

    conductor faying surface, and connecting fasteners is greatly

    reduced, which simplifies the assembling of major loop, reduces

    the loop resistance, and greatly improves the reliability of

    connection of major galvanic circle.

    Stable insulating property

    Surface of vacuum interrupter is poured with epoxy, so the

    impact of polar pole's external environment on vacuum

    interrupter is reduced to the minimum; its insulating ability

    can protect the breaker from being affected by dust, moisture,

    beasties, dews and pollution, so it can fully meet the creeping

    distance requirements of class 2 polluted districts specified in

    Inspection beore installation

    After unpacking the circuit breaker, check whether the

    assemblies are complete according to the packing list; confirm

    there are no damages in its appearance, no water log or

    impurities; make sure the screws are tightened, the major loop

    is firmly fastened and the product can run normally. After the

    inspection, clean the dust on the surface. Check the degree

    of vacuum of the vacuum interrupter using power frequency

    withstand voltage method (trip the breaker and impose power-

    frequency voltage to the fracture).Install the machine after it's

    qualified in inspection.

    Commissioning

    Products which are in good condition after unpacking

    inspection need no commissioning; only the breakers

    which do not meet the technical requirements or whose

    parts and components are changed need commissioning.

    company's technicians; if detailed product information is

    required, please contact with our company directly)

    First of all, adjust the adjusting nut at the lower end of the

    dynamic conducting rod of vacuum interrupter, so that the

    vacuum interrupter's contactor torque and contactor overtravel

    can reach the specified value of the specification; Then check

    whether all parts of the shaft are correctly connected and

    whether the oil bumper is normal; Finally, adjust the device so

    that it can operate normally; there is be no clamping stagnation

    in manual operation, electro control, charging, closing and

    tripping. After commissioning of the entire breaker, it shall meet

    the requirements of parameters list in table 2.

    Check whether the breaker is damaged mechanically;

    Conduct power frequency withstand voltage test to the breaker

    to check its insulation level.

    Manual closing and trip

    Manual charging: insert the charging handle from the inserting

    hole of charging handle on the panel to store energy; when the

    device ticktocks, and the charging sign points to the charging

    position, it shows the spring device has finished charging.

    Manual closing: press the closing button on the panel, the

    closing-trip sign will show the closedposition, meaning that it's

    closed.

    Manual trip: press the trip knob on the panel, the closing-trip

    sign will show the tripping position, meaning that it's tripping.

    Electric closing and trip

    Charging operation: connect the control loop of the breaker,

    power on and after the charging signal is sent out, the breaker's

    control wiring is powered on; the motor will be powered on

    through the control loop and then it rotates and drives the

    closing spring to store energy. After the closing spring finishes

    charging, the limit switch will cut off the motor power and the

    charging sign will point to the charging position.

    Closing operation: after the closing instruction is given out,

    the closing coil excites and the iron core moves to hit the

    closing interlocking; the closing spring releases energy and the

    breaker will be switched on; after the closing operation, the

    closing-trip sign will show the closed position, and under suchcircumstances the charging device is in free state.

    Tripping operation: after the tripping instruction is given out, the

    trip coil excites and the iron core moves to separate the tripping

    interlocking; the tripping spring releases energy and the breaker

    will be switched off; after the tripping operation, the closing-trip

    sign will show the switch-off state.

    Maintenance and repair

    The maintenance intervals and contents are changing along

    with the service conditions, on/off times and the level of

    breaking current.

    Normally running breaker shall be maintained regularly; clean

    the dust on the insulation surface, and all moving parts shall be

    poured with lubricating oil regularly;

    Check whether the screws are loosened after operating for

    2000 times; if screws are l oosened, tighten them timely;

    Check immediately when there are closing or tripping faults;

    During maintenance, the vacuum interrupter shall not be hit

    with hard objects (such as tools);

    Mechanical features testing and adjustment of the breaker

    shall only be conducted by professionals.

    The breaker shall be placed in the room that is dry, ventilated,

    damp proof and has no noxious gas; pay attention to the

    following notes and remember to fi x the dust-proof cover.

    The storage place shall be dry and kept out of the sun;

    Avoid corrosive gas and dust;

    Avoid places with sharp variation in temperature (sharp

    variation in temperature may cause frosting, which may reduce

    the performance or cause defects).

    VK vacuum circuit breaker is produced by Guangzhou Toshiba

    The operating device adopts four-bar structure. During

    closing, the closing spring drives the closing camshaft

    to rotate, and rotation of cam will press the four bars to

    drive the main shaft to close. During tripping, the tripping

    fanning strip rotates and drives the connecting rod to

    activate the four bars, so that the four bars lose balance;

    the quick moving of four bars will drive the rotation of the

    main shaft to open.

    On the device there is a line indicating the abrasion state of

    contactor and the abrasion of contactor can be observed

    from its front side. For details, please refer to the validation

    of contactor abrasion in the maintenance and repair part.

    The interrupter adopts the longitudinal magnetic field electrode

    technology and controls the electric arc through the magnetic

    field to realize fast arc extinction.

    With the action of the current flowing through the electrode,

    there is longitudinal magnetic field generated between the

    contactors. With the action of the longitudinal magnetic field,

    the electric arc rotates on the electrode surface and diffuse to

    the electrode surface fast, so arc voltage is low and stable and

    there is little contact loss, so that the contactor of interruptercan work for a longer time.

    Figure 4.4 (A) is the illustrative drawing showing the open status

    of the breaker, when the closing spring is charging (waiting for

    closing). Under such circumstances, press the closing button

    or drive the closing wedge through the closing coil, so that the

    cam can rotate fast as shown in figure 4.4 (B), that's the closed

    position.

    Charging action

    The breaker is kept at the closed postion as shown in figure 4.4

    (B); drive the charging crank handle electrically or manually to

    rotate the closing cam and start the charging function. When

    the roller on the closing cam touches the closing wedge, it

    finishes charging.

    Tripping action

    Press the trip button or drive the trip axis through the trip coil

    and the device will return to the open status as shown in figure

    4.4 (A).

    VY - 40 indoor AC high voltage vacuum circuit breaker (breaker

    for short hereinafter) adopts the vertical arrangement structure,

    which effectively reduces the depth of breaker. The breaker

    adopts compound insulation structure; the three-phase

    interrupter and conductors are separated by three independent

    epoxy insulating cylinders. Compound insulation reduces the

    size of breaker. With the use of compound insulation structure,

    the breaker can meet the requirements of air i nsulation distance

    and creeping distance in normal operation. The main galvanic

    Arc extinction principle

    The vacuum interrupter for the breaker has high degree of

    vacuum. When the dynamic and static contactors are charged

    and open when driven by the operating device, vacuum arc

    will be produced between the two contactors. Besides, due

    to the special structure of contactor, there may be proper

    longitudinal magnetic field generated between two contactors.

    As a result, the vacuum arc will be diffused and spread uniformly

    on the surface of the contactor to be combusted, thereby to

    maintain very low arc voltage. When the current reaches zero

    naturally, residual ions, electronics and metallic vapor will be

    compounded or condensed on the contactor surface and

    shield cover within microseconds to extinct the arc; insulation

    strength of the medium at the interrupter fracture will be

    restored fast to realize breaking. The vacuum circuit breaker uses

    longitudinal magnetic field to control the vacuum arc, so it has

    powerful and strong ability for breaking current.

    Connect the control loop of the breaker; power on and the

    motor will start running. When the discharged and charged

    indicationchanges from "discharged" to "charged", the motor

    stops. Then the closing spring is charged.

    b) Maual hargig praiTake the baffle of the handle inserting hole and insert the

    manual charging handle (about 280mm, accessory) to the

    inserting hole; shake the charging handle several times (about

    seven times) and it will snap and become charged. Note) Times

    of action of the operating handle will change along with the

    change of action angles.

    After the device is charged, the breaker will close as long as it

    receives the closing instruction at any time.

    After the device closing spring is charged, such state will be kept

    due to the pressure of the wedge. Gusset of the wedge tends

    to move in the direction of tripping under the driving force of

    the cam roller. Now rotate the closing half shaft clockwise to the

    release position (about 20) and the gusset of wedge that keeps

    the charging state will run fast clockwise; the charging state will

    terminate, and closing spring releases energy fast and drives

    the cam to rotate anticlockwise. Meanwhile, the linkage gear

    will run to the closing position as driven by the cam to close the

    device. Then the travel switch will reset; the motor powers on

    and drives the closing spring to charge again, so that the device

    is closed and charged.

    The closed state of device is kept by the gusset and half shaft

    of linkage gear. The gusset tends to move along the release

    direction under the load of breaker; at such time if the tripping

    half shaft is rotated to the release position anticlockwise

    (about 20), the gusset will run fast anticlockwise, and thus the

    balanced state of linkage gear will be terminated. It will move to

    the tripping positin under load and the device is open.

    Tripping action

    Only a1, a2 and TC are related to breaker tripping; when

    conditions allow, if the tripping instruction is given out (impose

    pressure on +FM-N2 point), the breaker will open when the

    trip coil excites (about 25ms). When the breaker opens, auxiliary

    switches a1 and a2 switch and trip coil TC terminates excitation.

    Packing and transport

    VY-40 indoor vacuum circuit breaker is independently packed.

    It's fixed to a wooden stand and covered with plastic paper to

    prevent penetration of water. During packing and transporting,

    the breaker shall be open and the product can't be turned over

    or rolled.

    Acceptance check upon reception

    Check whether the packing is in good condition;

    Consult the packing list and check whether the documents,

    accessories, and spare parts are complete;

    Check whether the technical parameters on the nameplate

    of breaker and quality certificate meet the requirements of

    ordering.

    Storage

    The breaker shall be placed in the room that is dry, ventilated,

    damp proof, shock-resistant and noxious gas proof. If it's placed

    for a long time, spread lubricating oil to the transmission parts

    and check whether the environment meets the requirements

    regularly.

    Inspection beore installation

    Afther unpacking, check whether the parts and components

    of breaker are complete according to the packing list; check

    whether the breaker is wetted and damaged and whether it can

    run normally. After the inspection, clean the dust on the surface.

    Check the degree of vacuum of the vacuum interrupter using

    power frequency withstand voltage method (trip the breaker

    and impose power-frequency voltage to the fracture at 95kV/

    min). Install the machine after it's qualified in inspection.

    Commissioning

    Products which are in good condition after unpacking

    inspection need no commissioning; only the breakers which

    do not meet the technical requirements or whose parts andcomponents are changed need commissioning

    First of all, adjust the height of knuckle bearing and oil bumper

    at the lower end of the dynamic conducting rod of vacuum

    interrupter, so that the vacuum interrupter's contactor torque

    can reach the specified value of the specification; Adjust the

    nuts on the contactor spring properly so that the contactor

    over travel can reach the value specified in the technical

    specification; Then check whether all parts of the shaft are

    correctly connected and whether the oil bumper is normal. Finally, adjust the device so that it can operate normally; make sure there

    is be no clamping stagnation in manual operation, electro control, energy storage, closing and tripping. After commissioning of the

    entire breaker, it shall comply with the parameters listed in table 2.
