You will also cover the advanced functions and diagnostic software to a level where a PIN number will be issued on the successful completion of the course, this will enable you to carry out a para-meterization on the Trailer EBS ‘D’ system.


OBjEcTIvE :Part 1This course covers the installation, repair and maintenance of the WABCO Trailer (EBS) ‘E’ system including information of all the major componentry.Part 2This course follows on from Trailer (EBS) Part 1 (normally held on the pre-vious day) and cannot be attended until Part 1 has been completed. Part 2 covers the advanced functions of the diagnostic software to a level where a PIN number is issued; this will enable you to carry out a parameterization on the Trailer EBS ‘E’ system.

OBjEcTIvE :WABCO were the first to introduce ECAS on Trucks in 1988. This course co-vers the functionality of an (ECAS) system, fault finding (using a diagnostic controller and diagnostic software). On successful completion of the course a PIN number is issued, after purchasing the diagnostic software you will be able to carry out a parameterization of a system in line with the respective vehicle manufacturer’s specification.

It provides the driver with constant updates of tyre pressures directly from each monitored wheel.

Operating with correct tyre pressures sounds like a straightforward task but the reality is frequently very different – especially for large fleets operating many multi-axle vehicles.

It isn’t always easy to spot incorrect pressure but the effects of failing to correctly inflate tyres are all too apparent. Research by Michelin shows that a 15 per cent over- or under- inflation can reduce the lifespan of a tyre by 10 percent. Moreover, an under-inflated tyre is likely to see sustained heat buildup and be at much greater risk of terminal damage to the carcass. And, when it comes to replacing tyres, the costs are significant.

Rapid developments in vehicle technology, the increasing range of functions and sophisticated safety features mean that diagnostic software is required. WABCO System Diagnostics (SD) is a software program available for every WABCO produced component requiring diagnosis. The program consists of a range of Windows-based software solutions, for the diagnosis of multiple WABCO systems.
