Term 3 Staffing
We farewell Ms Linda Glare on Friday and thank her for her work teaching 4G throughout Semester 1. Mrs Carly Phillips has been appointed as a permanent class teacher at Warnervale and she will be the class teacher of 4P for Semester 2. Mrs Cheryl Jacobs will remain the class teacher of 1J. We welcome back Mrs Rebecca Pitts who returns from maternity leave. Mrs Pitts will be a non teaching Assistant Principal responsible for Early Stage 1, Student Welfare and Professional Learning. While Mr Green is working at Gosford Office as a Learning and Engagement Officer for 6 weeks, Ms Sue Callan will be relieving Assistant Principal responsible for Stage 1.
Education Week
Education Week is celebrated from August 1—5. Education Week is a celebration of public education. The Education Week theme for 2016 is: Shared stories, better learning, stronger communities. We invite you to join us at Warnervale on Monday August 1 between 9.30—11 am for classroom visits. All classes will be showcasing Mathematics activities. You are then welcome to join your child for a picnic lunch. The P&C are organising a Mexican Monday Meal Deal. Click here for order form.
School Uniform
Just a reminder that Warnervale has a uniform policy and the wearing of correct school uniform is encouraged. PSSA sports jackets are only allowed to be worn on Fridays. There are many students who are wearing a variety of coloured jumpers and jackets each day. Please support our policy and ensure that your children are dressed in their correct uniform and hat each day for school.
Afternoon Pick Up
Parents are requested to wait in the COLA / shade area, basketball court or outside the gate for their children.
Children must not walk to the Community Centre car park in Minnesota Rd unaccompanied
NO waiting is permitted outside classrooms. This is a safety requirement as all children will be leaving from the same main pathway. The pathway needs to be clear at all times to allow access.
Please DO NOT wait outside or on the steps of the two demountable classrooms
Schools Tree Day
This year our School Environmental club students and some of their friends will be participating in the Schools Tree Day this Friday July 29. The students will be planting native trees in some new garden areas .
