Position Description: Support the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs (OAPA) by contributing to all facets of the development and management of the USAID Info system, a web-based information system used to record USAID Afghanistan and Pakistan program performance targets, budgets, and results, as well as program impacts. USAID's Bureau for Africa requires a qualified and experienced Organizational Advisor to support trade and investment programs under Prosper Africa, an interagency initiative to boost two-way trade and investment between the United States and Africa. The Organizational Advisor will serve as a member of the Trade and Investment Team of the Economic Growth, Environment, and Agriculture Division within the Bureau of Africa’s Office of Sustainable Development (AFR/SD/EGEA). AFR/SD is tasked with providing technical support to USAID/Africa missions and USAID/Washington on trade and investment-related issues as they relate to health, nutrition, water, international crime, and natural resource management. EGEA works to achieve these objectives in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Washington and in the field, in other USAID bureaus, and in other U.S. Government (USG) agencies.

The Organizational Advisor will support all aspects of EGEA’s trade and investment work, primarily the roll-out of the Prosper Africa initiative. Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

• Working with EGEA’s Trade and Investment Team to support trade and investment meetings and stakeholder consultations including coordinating the development of participatory agendas and facilitation of meetings;

• Supporting preparation, follow-up, and related communications for Prosper Africa events, including high-level international fora such as the annual AGOA and the Corporate Council on Africa events as well as domestic conferences, meetings, side events, and briefings.

• Supporting knowledge capture and post-event knowledge products, including After Action Reviews of meetings and stakeholder engagement processes, as needed;

• Ensuring that learning from Prosper Africa support activities are shared with interested stakeholders across USAID;

• Supporting EGEA’s integration of Collaboration, Learning and Adapting (CLA) practices by taking a CLA approach to all work; and
