Programme• Programme founded in 2011• Founding Trustee of the School Entrepreneurship Trust

• Programme that has been designed and developed to expose learners at school to Entrepreneurship and Business

• Programme comprises of 5 core modules/subjects with a theory and practical element to each module

• Programme designed to show you how to start up and run your own venture

• Most Important aspect of the programme is that there is a continuous emphasis on fostering entrepreneurial thinking amongst the learners

What is the School Entrepreneurship Programme

What are you exposed to• 5 core modules

• Module 1 – Introduction to Business and Entrepreneurship

• Module 2 – Innovation and how to generate ideas, life cycle of an idea

• Module 3 – Marketing

• Module 4 – Drafting a Business Plan and drafting funding proposals

• Module 5 – Access to Finance, SARS, CIPC and Banks

What are you exposed to continued….• Continuous focus on entrepreneurial thinking

• Discussions around what is happening in Communities, Cities and Countries

• Discussion around what is happening in business and economies

• Continuous emphasis on being aware of what is happening around you

Theory and Practical Elements• Theory – 5 modules with theoretical content• Theory – additional reading, surfing the web, reading

newspapers, reading magazines, watching TV• Guest Speaker Programme and Guest Lecturers

• Practical Element – optional• Practical – literally undertake a practical exercise to

produce a product or deliver a service from which the learner can generate an income

• Practical – the learner will be mentored through the entire process of getting their venture/project off the ground
