history, this red-bricked Georgian building began life in 1783 as a school for Greenwich Hospital and

was once part of the Royal Naval College.

NELSON & HAMILTON SUITE

Featuring original Georgian windows that overlook the impressive grounds, the spacious Nelson & Hamilton Suite is filled with light and charm. Licenced for weddings and civil ceremonies alike, it has the capacity to host receptions of up to 100 seated guests.

CHURCHILL SUITE

From the grand marble entrance to the traditional wood-panelling, the Churchill Suite is a truly unique space. Overlooking the private garden and with direct access to a secluded outdoor area, it’s the ideal spot for an intimate wedding ceremony of up to 30 seated guests.

THE DRAKE SUITE

This perfectly restored Georgian room provides an elegant backdrop for photographs throughout your ceremony. And with views onto the private garden, it’s a suite surrounded by as much beauty on the outside as is evident on the inside. For smaller weddings, The Drake Suite can seat up to 60 guests.

WESTMINSTER SUITE

Offering impressive views across the courtyard, the Westminster Suite is a splendid space for both banquets and receptions. As well as capacity for up to 100 guests for a wedding breakfast, a mobile bar just outside and the option of decorative draping, this modern suite boasts a small balcony, which can be used by photographers to capture group shots from above.

This venue is simply beautiful. Our wedding was amazing and completely stress free. The event organisers did everything they

could to provide us with what we needed, the catering staff were professional and helpful and the location was perfect, especially for the photos! Overall our day was the best ever,

all thanks to De Vere Devonport House.

Once you and your guests have enjoyed the last dance of the evening, end the night in style with a stay in one of our contemporary rooms, equipped with modern facilities and finished off with comfortable furnishings and a calming décor.

With 99 rooms throughout the hotel, there’s plenty of space for members of your party to stay overnight. And to continue the celebrations into the next day, guests are invited to relive the best moments of the big day over breakfast the following morning.

If you are having your wedding breakfast with us, bed and breakfast is included for the happy couple, we’re always happy to upgrade your package to include Champagne on ice and dressing robes at your request.

With all the modern amenities and little luxury touches you’d expect, as well as comfortable furnishings, you can always count on a pleasant stay in one of our Guest rooms.

SUPERIOR

For extra space and style, our recently refurbished Superior rooms have been decorated to make winding down even easier. Furnished with warm and natural colours to match the surroundings, each room is a comfortable haven to escape to after a long day of celebrations.

ONCE YOU’ VE BOOKED

Planning your wedding day should be both exciting and enjoyable. That’s why we’ll help to make sure all your arrangements run smoothly. If you have any questions at any point, our team will always be on hand and happy to advise.

NINE MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

This is when we recommend you start to compile your guest list and get in touch with your registry office, to give plenty of notice.

THREE MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

Make a final decision on the flowers and cake you want on the day.

You will be invited to a complimentary menu tasting. You will select a starter, a main and a dessert each to choose the menu for your big day and will have the opportunity to discuss any dietary requirements or special requests you may have with the Chef.

S IX WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

We will be in touch to confirm final numbers with you. It’s at this point that you’ll start organising table plans and place cards. We’ll also be asking you to confirm your suppliers, including your chosen florist, photographer, videographer, transport, cake designer and entertainment.

F IREWORKS AND CONFETTI

We’re always happy for you to use biodegradable confetti on our grounds outside. However, due to our proximity to London City Airport, fireworks are not permitted for safety reasons.

THE BAR AND MUSIC

Out of respect for other hotel guests, our bar closes at midnight. However, members of your party are always welcome to retire to the residents’ bar, which will stay open at the Manager’s discretion.

If you’d like music during your ceremony or wedding breakfast, we can provide you with a portable speaker.

TRUSTED SUPPLIERS

Our wedding team have built great relationships with professional and trustworthy bands, DJs, photographers and many more. You can use our ‘little white book’ of suppliers, or you’re welcome to bring in your own.

THE END OF THE NIGHT

Once your wedding day has drawn to a close, our team will store any belongings from the room overnight, for you to collect the following morning. Please provide a list of items to be saved, this may include copies of your menus, place cards and seating plan. They’ll be lovely memories to treasure of the wedding day.
