Speak, O Lord

Speak, O Lord, as we come to You

To receive the food of Your Holy Word.

Take Your truth, plant it deep in us;

Shape and fashion us in Your likeness,

That the light of Christ might be seen today

In our acts of love and our deeds of faith.

Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us

All Your purposes for Your glory.

Teach us, Lord, full obedience,

Holy reverence, true humility;

Test our thoughts and our attitudes

In the radiance of Your purity.

Cause our faith to rise; cause our eyes to see

Your majestic love and authority.

Words of pow'r that can never fail—

Let their truth prevail over unbelief.

Speak, O Lord, and renew our minds;

Help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us—

Truths unchanged from the dawn of time

That will echo down through eternity.

And by grace we'll stand on Your promises,

And by faith we'll walk as You walk with us.

Speak, O Lord, till Your church is built

And the earth is filled with Your glory.

Letter from the Vacancy Pastor

Hello dear friends at St. Luke’s,

My wife Lisa and I are excited to meet you all and begin

joining with you in ministry.

Lisa and I have been married for four years and have two

young boys – Logan (2 years old) and Caleb (5 months

old). Lisa taught 2nd grade for two years before we had

children. She is from Denver and loves reading books,

shopping, drinking coffee and spending time with our

boys (those last two may be related). I have been a

pastor in Anthem for the last five years. I’m from Austin,

TX and enjoy reading, barbequing, playing soccer, golf,

and going in our pool.

I look forward to getting to know people at St. Luke’s, and

invite you to do any or all of the following: 1) Join me

after any church service July 2-3 or July 23-24 for a

―meet the pastor‖ reception in the Oasis. 2) Send an

e-mail to [email protected] introducing yourself to

me. 3) ―Friend‖ me on Facebook (Luke Hennings).

I believe God has blessed St. Luke’s with great people

and resources to bring Jesus to people’s lives. Lisa and I

are excited and honored to partner with you in ministry.

God Bless,

Pastor Luke
