Fr. Keith’s KornerFr. Keith’s KornerFr. Keith’s KornerFr. Keith’s Korner As you may have heard this week in the

news, Pope Benedict announced that Bishop William E. Lori (of the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT)

will be the new Archbishop of Baltimore, and will be installed this coming May. Bishop Lori is familiar with our area, having received a degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University and served as a priest and auxiliary bishop for many years in the Archdiocese of Washington. We thank Archbishop O’Brien for his years of service, and extend a warm welcome to Archbishop-designate Lori. Please be aware that there are two opportunities this week to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation in a communal setting: on Tuesday at Saint Peter the Apostle in Libertytown and on Thursday here at Saint Katharine Drexel at 7:30 PM. Our Lenten spiritual journey invites us to become more self-reflective, which naturally leads to a sense of repentance about our failings in life. In the humility of making a good confession, we are often able to get beyond past sins and disappointments and seek a newer, fuller life in Christ. It has become a parish tradition on Palm Sunday to have our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Cloverhill Park in the afternoon, and our annual Passover Seder meal in the evening. Please remember that you must register for both of these activities by this weekend, and that the forms are available at the Information Center. The warm weather has really been amazing, and certainly draws us outdoors. Saint Katharine Drexel sponsors an adult softball team in the Frederick County Summer Church League, each year, and we would be pleased if you would join the team. It’s also a great way to get to know fellow parishioners. Please call Victor Cretella (whose number is elsewhere in this bulletin) if you would like to join the fun this summer!
