Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto called for an attack on Pearl Harbor saying that it was, “A dagger pointed at Japan’s throat,” because Japan is a small country with little resources so it had to attack to US to get oil December 7, 1941 right before eight in the morning Japan attacked Pearl Harbor More than 2,000 people died, and about another 1,000 were wounded. The next day President Roosevelt addressed congress saying America should declare war on Japan and its allies, and America finally joins World War II
