Editing the newsletter:

Is the volume and issue number correct on the front? Is the date correct on the front?

Are all title fonts 16 point bold Arial? (red arrow) Are all author fonts italicized 8 point arial? (yellow arrow) Are all author’s names spaced to the far right of the text box? Do the outer edge of the title box and text box line up? (if yes the pink line will show up when you try to move the line.)

Are all article fonts times new roman and size 11 or 12? (red oval) Are there column breaks (space without text between columns)? (red arrow) Are all columns aligned to justified? (right circle)

Are all of the editors listed alphabetically on the front page in a font that makes each name fit on one line?

Is “Editors” bold, underlined, and size 14 font? Is the NEW FFA emblem in the center bottom of the editor box? Does the editor and calendar box align together and touch the yellow border line with a small space between the two

boxes? If they align the pink line will show when the box edge line is drug. (red circle) Does the editor box and the yellow line line up on the blue page border marker? (green circle)

Are all blues (boxes, font, title circle) the same navy blue and yellows (borders, footer box font) the same yellow throughout the document? (black/green arrow)

Are all text box edges at 4 ½ weight? (red arrow/circle)

When an article does not fit, use create link to connect the boxes between pages. (orange circle) Make sure all text boxes are aligned with the bottom page border (green arrow)

Always tell the reader where the article is continued. (red circle) Only continue it 1 time – make it fit within 2 pages.

Are all columns (calendar, scholarship, officer) headings centered? There should not be an author on these columns. Is there a picture of the officers in the officer column?

Are all columns equal in width (do all space lines line up on the page)?

Are all footer boxes matching from page to page? (red is correct, green is not)

Are all footer boxes going from margin line to margin line?

Do not end a column with a title.

Make sure pictures within the article space are of the event/project in that article. Do not include pictures of other events under a different heading.

Make the article end evenly in a multi-column article. (red circles)

Make photo collages appealing to look at with big pictures of multiple people, some at angles. (green circle)

Are the items on the back out of the way for the mailing labels? (red box/line) Does the newsletter end on an even numbered page? (red circle)
