Both The Book Thief and “Julius Caesar” demonstrate the power of the written and spoken word through its characters. Liesel Meminger (The Book Thief) and Antony (“Julius Caesar”) are two characters who are directly affected by the power of words. They reap the benefits as well as the damages of this powerful weapon.
