SOLUTION: Wechat Beacons

• For the Shanghai Auto show, a WeChat Beacon campaign was

setup to enhance user interaction

• Users could launch WeChat, shake their phones which would

then launch VW specific content on their mobile phones.

• Beacons placed at different locations around the VW booth

ensured relevant content was delivered to the users based on

their location.

• Users were requested to sign up and leave their contact

information for a test drive post interaction

Recruitment through Free Wi-Fi Service

BRAND: Reel Mall

SOLUTION: Wechat Wifi

Followers of the Reel Wechat account are able to access free Wi-Fi service

within the mall.

Users are encouraged to follow Reel on Wechat, following which using

Wechat’s Wi-Fi API’s they are authenticated.

Simply clicking on the Wi-Fi option in the Reel Wechat menu, connects

them immediately to the Wi-Fi network and the internet.

Dyson is famous for its innovative, well designed and environmentally

friendly products. Launched in China in 2012, Dyson is now utilizing Wechat

as its social platform to reach out to its consumers.

The Dyson wechat account offers a complete experience which includes

brand zone, online store, a personalized owner Area with customer care.

Using Wechat’s segmentation feature, separate tabs are shown to

prospective buyers and product owners. While prospective buyers get

generic information about Dyson products, the owner’s tab allows users to

scan the QR code on a Dyson product and register the product through

Wechat. This area offers customized product manuals, assembly and

safety instruction, accessories, tools information and FAQs for the user.

The customer care area connects users to the product experts who are

able to respond to customer queries directly through the wechat

interface.
