After 3 years, some North Shore residents still don’t know they have a world-renowned provider right in their own backyard. Those who do often mistake it as a satellite, offering only pre- and post-surgery support. “We want to be clear”

says Johnson. “This location offers identical technology, experience and procedures as our other famous location.”

London Eye Centre offer two procedure options in North Vancouver, ‘No Touch’ PRK and Intralase SBK. Neither technique uses the cutting and blades required with LASIK surgery. Both PRK and Intralase achieve the same visual outcomes, the primary difference is healing and recovery time.

“Not all laser clinics use the same procedures and equipment” says Johnson, adding that London Eye’s procedures vary greatly from LASIK.

Chief Surgeon and Medical Director, Dr. Perry Maerov, calls the North Shore home, where, in addition to his work with London Eye Centre, he operates his own long standing ophthalmology practice. “He’s an extremely respected and well-known surgeon in the North Vancouver community,” says Johnson.

Head Technologist Al Lens takes care of consultations and follow-ups. He too has over 25 years of experience and is in demand as an instructor and lecturer within the industry.
