Welcome and Announcements...The Rev. John M. Woods, Pastor

Prelude … Dallastown String Ensemble

A Yuletide Greeting….Higgins

*Call To Worship...[Pastor and Congregation, Read Responsively]

*P: The Lord is king! The world is firmly established; it shall never be moved.

He will judge the peoples with equity.

*C: Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it;

let the field exult, and everything in it. Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD; for he is coming, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his truth. [Psalm 96:10-13]

*P: The trees of the LORD are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

*C: In them birds build their nests; the stork has its home in the fir trees. [Psalm 104:16-17]

*P: For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,

*C: so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

*P: For you shall go out in joy, and be led back in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall burst into song, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

*C: Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to the LORD for a memorial, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off. [Isaiah 55:10-13]

*Hymn … Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful … Verses 1-3 … Hymn No. 283
