Welcome to HighPoint Chrisan Academy! Giving students an excellent Chrisan educaon is one of the best investments parents can make in their childrens future. HighPoint Chrisan Academy is designed to provide a caring, creave learning environment to prepare students for college, life and ministry. Our mission is for students to know Jesus Christ and make Him known within their circle of influence. We accomplish this by helping students discover their God-given talents and purpose for their lives through a smulang academic and spiritual experience. Each student will be taught personally in small groups by qualified Chrisan teachers who will prepare them academically and guide them in their spiritual and character development. Average class sizes range from 12-15 students. Parents will be amazed at how much students learn and enjoy school through the personal relaonships and acvies of our school. History HighPoint Chrisan Academy was started to meet the increasing need for quality Chrisan educaon for elementary, junior and senior high school students in Clay County and the surrounding areas of North Florida. Although there are many good Chrisan schools for elementary and middle school students in North Florida, there are few for secondary students to connue their Chrisan educaon. HighPoint Chrisan Academy is a ministry of HighPoint Community Church and operates under its leadership. HPCA was the dream of Pastor Mike Hailey, who has worked in youth ministry for over 35 years, and Dr. Tommie Broach Darm, a recognized educator in private schools for over 40 years. Although HPCA was founded in 2010, the years of experience of these leaders and the excellence of our teachers assures parents that their students will be receiving a valuable Chrisan educaonal experience. Admission HPCA does not discriminate against any applicant due to race, gender, physical disability, religion or naonal origin. Each applicant must be interviewed and past school records reviewed before acceptance. If recent standardized test results are not available, students may be tested to determine their academic level. Both parents and students must be desirous of admission, concur with the goals and purposes of the school, and agree to be acvely involved in the program. Curriculum HighPoint Chrisan Academy offers a college preparatory curriculum for students in grades 5-12. Special emphasis is placed on creavity, service, and ministry, as well as strong academic preparaon. The curriculum is developed to provide the best possible program of studies using recognized Chrisan textbooks and other appropriate books and materials. A variety of teaching methods as well as a hands-on acve learning approach which includes field experiences, speakers and special projects will be ulized. High School students will be required to complete 24 credits in grades 9-12 to graduate from HPCA. Specific courses may vary according to state requirements and individual goals. Credits will also be available through independent study, virtual educaon, transfer credits, and dual enrollment credits from local colleges. Tesng & Guidance Following admission, an individual program of study will be outlined for each student, taking note of any special needs or goals. Students will be given standardized tests each year to determine academic progress. Students aending private schools are not required to take the same assessments as public school students. High School Students will be encouraged to take the SAT and/ or the ACT college admissions examinaons before graduaon. Progress reports, grades and assignments are always available online through our GradeLinkwebsite and report cards are available every nine weeks. Parents are encouraged to contact the school at anyme they would like to have a parent/teacher conference. Students will be guided by their teachers and school leaders in realizing their potenal and developing strong Chrisan values and leadership skills. Student Program & Acvies We love each student uncondionally, encourage Chrisan atudes and behavior, and expect students to respect their parents, teachers, fellow students, and others. Students may bring their own lunch each day or can purchase lunches through a variety of vendors. Transportaon is not provided by the school; however, carpooling opportunies are available through other enrolled families and students are allowed to drive to school, if licensed and with parents-signed permission. Extracurricular acvies vary according to the desires and talents of our students. History

HighPoint Christian Academy was started to meet the

Accreditation

HighPoint Christian Academy is dedicated to maintaining high academic standards. Our teachers are carefully selected as

Christian leaders and only teach within areas that they have credentials and/or appropriate experience. HPCA is recognized by the State of Florida as a private school and is a member of the Coalition of McKay Scholarship Schools. HPCA received its accreditation in

a record three years through Christian Schools of Florida (CSF), AdvancED/Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the National Council for Private School Accreditation and is a National Honor Society Charter school.

Tuition & Scholarships

A general schedule of tuition, fees, and textbook costs is available upon request. A non-refundable registration fee is required of all students seeking admission. All families are afforded an extended tuition payment plan at 0% interest through our tuition payment service. Some scholarships are available through Florida’s McKay Scholarship Program, Step Up for Students to include the Gardiner program, and limited HPCA scholarships for those demonstrating economic need. Our office will provide information on how to qualify for these scholarships.
