About the TeacherQuick Facts:● This is my th year teaching in the DOE.● This is my rd year teaching th grade at Webling.● My first year at Webling I taught th grade.● Prior to teaching at Webling, I taught st grade for years at Maryknoll Grade

School. ● I graduated from Chaminade University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education

& also a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

Teaching Philosophy: ● Committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment where

students are able to be enthusiastic lifelong learners. ● Students and myself work together to build a community of respect. ● Open door policy for both students and parents.

Expectations Classroom Economy:

Students will be held accountable for their individual behaviors through the

Classroom Economy. All students will assume a classroom job and will receive a

monthly salary. Student’s salary can be influenced by their behavior. Students will be able to use their salary in exchange for payment for certain rewards in the class.

Cell Phones:•Once on campus, cell phones should be turned off. •Cell phones can only be used for contacting parents after school. •No use in the classroom.

•Not a calculator. •Can be confiscated and given to Mr. Matsuda.

Planners are a communication tool between home and school. ● Student planners are available for purchase in the front office for $ . ● Students are responsible and will be held accountable for the completion of their

daily homework. ● Everyday the student agenda will be stamped with a parent signature stamp.● Parent signatures are optional, until homework starts to be inconsistent. ● Any notes or reminders will be notated in the daily agenda.● Students will check-in their homework with me every morning.
