We live in a country where people think Carnival is part of the circus at Christmas. It means Carne –

Vale, Latin for Flesh – Farewell (tho only for 40 days)

Those who don’t celebrate Carnival won’t observe LentThose who don’t observe Lent won’t appreciate Easter.

Those who don’t celebrate Easter won’t renew Baptism.

Pray that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God the Almighty Father

May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the

good of all his holy church
