Thank you for taking the time to visit our classroom to find out about what we are doing this year.1A little bit about usI am Mrs Burgess the Year 6 teacher and I am very proud of my class. The children have made an excellent start to Year 6 and we are all looking forward to an exciting and productive year. We will be working from the new National Curriculum and whilst some things will change, many other aspects will remain similar to the previous curriculum.The biggest change again this year will be a more integrated approach to some subjects; especially the foundation subjects.

It would be useful for children if they could bring in books or artefacts which relate to the topic. Maths We will be covering place value, rounding, multiplying and dividing numbers and work on decimals.Science - Living things and Habitats including work on Micro- organisms. 5
