    Workers' Compensation Act, 1912-1948.ORDER IN COUNCIL.

    W.C.B. 31/49.WHEREAS it is enacted by section 13 of the Workers'Compensation Act, 1912-1948 (as reprinted in February,1949), that it shall be obligatory for every employerto obtain from an incorporated insurance office ap-proved by the Minister, a policy of insurance for thefull amount of the liability to pay compensation underthis Act to all workers employed by him but that ifan employer has established a fund for insurance againstsuch liability and has deposited at the Treasury securi-ties charged with all payments to become due undersuch liability, the Governor may, by Order in Council,exempt such employer from the operation of the saidsection; and whereas Midland Railway Company ofWestern Australia, Limited, of Midland Junction, West-ern Australia, being an employer within the meaningof the said Act, and having duly made application inaccordance with the said Act and regulations madethereunder for exemption from the operation of thesaid section 13 has proved to the satisfaction of theMinister that it has established a fund for insuranceagainst the liability aforesaid and that it has depositedat the Treasury securities to wit a fixed deposit receiptfor five thousand pounds issued to the Company by theEnglish, Scottish and Australian Bank, Limited, ofMidland Junction aforesaid, charged with all paymentsto become due under the said liability in connectionwith the Railway Department of the said Company:Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, actincwith the advice and consent of the Executive Council

    That your Petitioners are a majority in number ofthe electors living in an area comprised within a circlehaving a radius of eighty chains from the centre of allthose pieces of land situate in Penguin Road, SafetyBay, being portion of Cockburn Location 16, and beingLot 29 on Plan 5044, and being the whole of the land-comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 1006, Folio772.

  • FREMANTLE HARBOUR TRUST ACT, 1902.

    Amendment of Regulations.C.S.D. 233/46.

    THE Premantie Harbour Trust Commissioners, acting pursuant to section 65 of theFreniantle Harbour Trust Act, 1902 (as reprinted with amendments in the 1934Sessional Volume of Statutes), hereby amend the regulations made by them and inforce under the said Act, as published in tile Goverw,nent Gazette of the 5th day ofSeptember, 1934, and amended from time to time thereafter (reprinted by theGovernment Printer with all amendments to tile 18th day of March, 1949), andsince further amended by notice published in the Government Gazette on the 3rd dayof June, 1949, in the manner mentioned in the Schedule hereunder:

    Schedule.The abovementioned regulations are anlended as follows:-

    1. By deleting the first sentence of Regulation No. 56 and inserting in lieuthereof the following:

    Any vessel which may require the services of a pilot over the non-com-pulsory pilotage area in the Outer Harbour as defined in Regulation No. 103shall proceed to the Sea Pilot Boarding Ground and there wait until boarded bythe pilot, for whose services an application shall b.c made by wireless tele-graphy when notification of expected time of arrival at the port, as prescribedin Regulation No. 73 (a), is given.

    2. The following new Regulation is made:Regulation No. 73 (a)Notifieation of Arrival at Port.

    Notification of expected arrival time of vessels in the vicinity of theFairway Buoy marking the approach to Gage Roads shall be given by wirelesstelegraphy 24 hours ahead, and a second notice of expected time of arrivalconfirming or amending the previous notice shall be given two hours ahead.

    All vessels with explosives, inflammable liquid and other dangerouscargoes on board shall communicate such information by wireless telegraphywhen notice of expected time of arrival is being given 24 hours ahead.

    All such communications shall be addressed to the Harbour Master,Fremantle.

    3. The following new Regulation is made:Regulation No. 73 (b)Entry of Vessels.

    All vessels entering the port shall except as otherwise provided come toan anchorage in Gage Roads, South of Latitude 32° 01' 5., taking care to avoidan area bounded by lines drawn from the light tower on the North Mole on abearing of 284 for a distance of 1.63 miles, thence on a bearing of 180° for adistance of 7.7 cables, and thence on a bearing of 83° for a distance of twomiles to the light tower on the South Mole, this area being reserved for themanoeuvring of vessels into and out of the Inner Harbour.

    Vessels arriving at the port with explosives on board, or desiring toload explosives whilst in port, shall anehor in Gage Roads not less than half amile from any other vessel, and to the Westward of Longitude 115° 41' 24" E.,unless otherwise directed by the Harbour Master.

    4. By deleting Regulation No. 103 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:No. 103.

    Pilotage Compulsory.(a) Pilotage shall be compulsory upon every vesselnot specifically exempted therefrom by these regulations through all waterswithin the boundaries of the port, excepting between Gage Roads and the PilotBoarding Ground appointed for the purpos
