Whats’ Happening this Week
Greetings I hope that you are all safe and well in your bubbles. As a country we have made good progress against Covid 19 and now is not the time to relax. If we go backwards and are forced to return to Level 4 we will have undone all the good work and make the future even more difficult. So it is important to hang in there and stick to your bubbles, maintaining the health protocols when at work or in the community. Under Alert Level 3 we have children at school who are not able to be supervised at home. They are undertaking the same home learning programmes as those who are at home. A special thank you to the staff who are coming into school to supervise these children. Thank you for taking note of the prime minister’s comment that your children should remain at home. This has meant that most children have remained at home. This has allowed most staff to continue working from home. I have been impressed with the home learning that the teachers have been providing. I have also been impressed by the uptake of this learning by most children. This is new territory for us all and it has been pleasing to see how well it has gone. Remember to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions. Thanks for your efforts with this at home and remember not to let it become a chore. Do what you can do and make sure you have plenty of fun. Who knows you might decide you want to become a teacher. Please retain your money from the PFA Easter Raffle. Hopefully you will find ways to sell some tickets if you haven’t. When we are back into school please return the forms and any money collected. The prizes are all wrapped and waiting for the winners once drawn for a chocolate fix. We have certainly been blessed with outstanding weather. I am sure that this has been great at home as you can get the kids outside. Do the hard yards now so that we are able to get to Level 2 and continue our progress to whatever the new normal is.
