“Death of Julius Caesar” painted in 1798 CE by Vincenzo Camuccini depicts the conspirators encircling and murdering Julius Caesar. The assassination (March, 44 BC) was brought about shortly after Caesar had been named “dictator perpetuo” by the Senate, they assassinated him out of fear of the senate being overthrown.
