- Cigarette smoking causes: asthmatic attacks, bronchial infections, cancer, and many more medical conditions.

- Also, cigarettes are very expensive.

How can smoking effect someone?Terrie Hall, 51.

- Terrie Hall of North Carolina is 51 years old. She began smoking when she was 17 years old. At one point in her life she would smoke two packs of cigarettes a day. After 23 years of smoking she stopped, but it was too late. She has since been diagnosed with cancer.

How can smoking effect someone?Aden, 7.

- Aden suffers from secondhand smoke. He has never picked up a cigarette in his life. Secondhand smoke from family members has been a main cause of Aden’s asthma. Aden also has had many trips to the emergency room and nights in intensive care because of his secondhand smoke asthma.

Chewing Tobacco and Snuff

- Chewing tobacco is most commonly packaged as loose leaf in a foil package. It is placed between the cheek and gums.

- Snuff is most commonly packaged as moist in a can. A pinch or “dip” is placed between the cheek or lip and gums.

- Chewing tobacco and snuff cause nicotine addiction.

- Chewing tobacco and snuff cause tooth decay. This leads to many people loosing their teeth. Also, the yellowish coating on the teeth is impossible to remove.

- Chewing tobacco and snuff cause mouth cancer. Leukoplakia is also a result of chewing tobacco and snuff. Gruen Von Behrens, top right, began chewing tobacco at age 14. At the age of 16 he was diagnosed with leukoplakia, a white spot that grows on your gums.
