A Special Note from the PublisherMarch 31, 2011

Believing and having a place to share your belief is what our “Centers of Worship” magazine brings to you.

Congratulations to all the volunteers who were believers that you could indeed make possible your first annual “Centers of Worship” magazine for the Fayetteville, Fort Bragg and Raeford area. Your voice was heard load and clear that you were willing to help make this possible and it was clearly realized through all your endless hours of work.

For the many readers, visitors and new-comers that will pick up a copy of this specialty magazine for the next year, our hope is that your path will be made easy in finding your special worship center. Take the time to do something for yourself and your family by visiting a Worship Center of your choice. You will find different choices within this magazine. The pastor and members for these churches welcome you and hope you will visit their location. Even though there are different choices, there is still one common wish that each Pastor shares. Their wish is for you is to find a Worship Center that meets your needs.

This guide was made possible by the members of the Worship Centers seen in this magazine plus a group of volunteer believers and generous sponsors! Because of you they continue to work to spread the word about your area Worship Centers. Visit one today!

Sincerely, Elizabeth Lunaas, Publisher, Centers of Worship

The Maronite Church is one of the oldest rites in the Catholic Church. We are in full communion with Rome and Pope Benedict XVI. Blessed John XXIII said, “The Eastern Rites are the Treasure of the Catholic Church.” Come join us and enjoy the Liturgy in English, with some Syriac and Aramaic (the language Jesus spoke).

Completed in March 1932, the chapel is considered one of the regions loveliest. Non-sectarian, the chapel represents one of the government’s first funding for a military religious building. The stained glass windows are composed of more than 14,000 tiny pieces of antique glass from around the world. The stained glass pieces were installed in 1945, including one window depicting the American eagle and the motto “In God We Trust.”
