NOTES:EVERYONE WHO HEARS THESE WORDS AND PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE IS LIKE A WISE MAN WHO BUILT HIS HOUSE ON THE ROCK. – MATTHEW 7:24

WELCOME TO CROSSINGS COMMUNITY CHURCH

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to join us in worship today. Over the next hour, we will sing a few songs, join together in prayer, and hear a message that speaks to how truth and faith intersect with our lives today. In a world that pulls us in so many directions, this time of worship helps us remember what is most important as we turn our hearts and minds toward God.

We’d love to know you’re here today, so take a moment to fill out the Connection Card found in this worship guide, which includes a place where you can let us know about prayer concerns and/or questions you might have. Place the Connection Card into the offering plate/basket or into a BLUE BOX, found at each exit. Thanks again for gathering with us today at Crossings!

NEW TO CROSSINGS?Stop by Guest Central in the Atrium today after the service. We would love to meet you!

WANT TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR FAITH?Visit Next Step in the Atrium following the service today. We would love to help you find a class, group or personal spiritual growth plan!

“Teacher, what is the most important commandment in all the law?” — a Pharisee

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your life and with all your strength. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law—and writings of the prophets—consists of footnotes to these two commandments.” — Jesus (Matthew 22:34-39)

Notes | Questions | Thoughts | Doodles

1 John 4:7-21; Luke 10:25-37; Leviticus 19:18; Deuteronomy 6:5

“This [love] is to be the badge that the Christian community wears before the watching world ...” — NT Wright

“From the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep; whether we are searching for or have found our soul mate; whether we are working or playing or traveling; whether we are wondering what God designed for us to accomplish in this world; whether we are serving in a homeless shelter or whether we are pouring coffee into espresso cups, our various dreams have their meaning only when they are enveloped by loving God and loving others. When we live in love, we live in the kingdom society Jesus came to create.” — Scot McKnight

What word or phrase stands out to you? Why do you think that particular word or phrase stands out to you today?

What might love for God and love for others look like today? Ask that God make His Spirit evident as you walk throughout your day, looking for opportunities to love your neighbor as yourself.
