Masalah-masalah prasarana yang terkait dengan keselamatan pejalan kaki Infrastructure issues related to pedestrian safety

Tujuannya adalah untuk mengurangi resiko kecelakaan pejalan kaki dengan

(a) memperbaiki kondisi trotoar sehingga pejalan kaki tidak harus berjalan di jalan.

(b) menyediakan fasilitas untuk mengurangi resiko kecelakaan ketika pejalan kaki menyeberangi jalan, baik di lokasi mid-block atau persimpangan. The objective is to reduce the risk of pedestrian accidents by

(a) improving sidewalk conditions so pedestrians do not have to walk on the road.

(b) providing facilities to reduce accident risk when a pedestrian crosses the road, either at a mid-block location or at an intersection.

Terkait dengan penyediaan fasilitas pejalan kaki yang lebih aman di persimpangan adalah penyediaan tata letak dan peningkatan manajemen lalu lintas untuk mengurangi konflik kendaraan.

Termasuk Ruang Henti Khusus (RHK)Associated with providing safer pedestrian facilities at intersections is the provision of layout and traffic management improvements to reduce vehicle conflicts.

Perbaikan trotoar, perbaikan fasilitas penyeberangan jalan pejalan kaki dan persimpangan merupakan bagian dari pekerjaan proyek IURSP yang diusulkan untuk Medan, Pekanbaru and Bandung. Sidewalk improvements, pedestrian road crossing facilities and intersection improvements are all part of the IURSP project works proposed for Medan, Pekanbaru and Bandung.

Kesimpulan Conclusions

(a) angka konflik lalu lintas berkurang sampai dengan 39%.

(b) arus lalu lintas meningkat sampai dengan 13%. (a) number of traffic conflicts reduced by up to 39%.
