*SONG We Are Marching in the Light

*Reading For Everything, A Season Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Please read responsively

Outside we begin to see the leaves falling. For everything there is a season. In many places nature is still lush green and blooming with vibrant color. Now with cooler days and nights, the leaves are changing from the vivid colors of summer to the colors of autumn. For everything there is a season.

While they appear to be dying, many are preparing to rest during winter, to regain strength for their life, to go deeper and bloom more beautifully in the spring. For everything there is a season, and such are the seasons of life.

Just as these colors change the picture we see of the world, God is here to change our hearts, and heal our bodies and souls. For everything there is a season, a time to heal and a time to plant.

God is here to help us let go of what was and embrace what is, what may be. For everything there is a season, a time to change and a time to rest. God is here to walk with us in all the seasons of our life. For everything there is a season, a time to build up and a time to be born anew.

God is here to color our world with new brush strokes and colors to create a new image. For everything there is a season, a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Open our hearts, Lord, to change our thinking into your ways, in all seasons of our lives.

Word of God, Word of Life All: Thanks be to God.

SERMON Pastor Tami Reichley

“Hear our prayer.”

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
