It is with great pride that we welcome you to our Twenty-Fourth Annual Auction. The Home and School Association Auction Committee has spent months planning and organizing this event. Through their efforts and the efforts of many other members of the Xavier Community, this auction promises to be another memorable event.

The proceeds from tonight’s auction are for the benefit of Xavier and Xavier students. We are confident that those dollars, in conjunction with the funds raised from other projects, will continue to enhance the quality of a Xavier education.

Special thanks also to the individuals and businesses who have contributed gifts for this auction. Please give them special consideration in the future when purchasing goods or services which they supply.

Dear Xavier parents, alumni and friends,

Welcome to Xavier’s twenty-fourth annual auction. I am sure you will find your evening an enjoyableone as you spend time together and support Xavier High School. The auction is our one major fund-raising activity of the year and all of the proceeds from this evening support our school, enabling us to continue maintaining our facilities, offering financial aid to families in need, and enabling us to, through our fine faculty and staff, offer a quality Catholic education to all of our young men.

I am very grateful to our Home and School Auction Committee who have dedicated so much of their time and talent to planning this evening, and to all those who donated items for both the live and silent auctions. Thanks also to all the restaurants and businesses who have been generous supporters, and I encourage you to support them in turn.

AUCTION RULES1. Dining Hall doors open at 6:00 p.m. for bidding on silent auction items. Beginning at 7:15 p.m., clusters of tables will be counted down and closed. Student hosts will be in the dining hall to answer questions and helpthroughout the silent auction. The live auction will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m.

2. At the check-in tables, you will receive your program and your table number. Your bidding number is on the back of the program. Use only the program number assigned to you. Your number is your identification for the entire evening. Also at check-in you are offered the option to preauthorize your credit card to allow for quicker check-out at the end of the night.

3. When bidding on the silent auction items, please write your bidding and table numbers on the bid form so that winners can be easily located.

4. Each winning bid obligates the bidder to pay the bid price. Payment may be made by cash, check, or American Express/Discover/MasterCard/ Visa.

5. An auction runner will bring you a “Sold Slip” as a reminder of your winning bid for both Live and Silent Auction items. You are to present this “Sold Slip” to a cashier when picking up your items. All sales are final.There will be no exchanges or refunds except as specified.

6. “Taste of Xavier”

Hors d’oeuvres will be served in the dining hall with the silent auction beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Entree and dessert items will be served beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.
