Dear potential sponsor,
Beginning this summer, the robotics teams from XCentric
Robotics will each be meeting to plan, build, program, and
document a unique robot design showcasing their
engineering abilities. Their robots will then compete in the
2019-2020 VEX Robotics Competition games, Tower
Takeover and Squared Away. During short matches, the
teams will work together with allied teams in order to score
more points than opposing alliances.
Robotics teaches students engineering skills, teamwork,
leadership, critical thinking, time management,
communication, research, a failure mindset, and other 21st
century skills—all in a fun & engaging way. Statistics show
that there are over 8 million unfilled STEM careers in the
US. By supporting robotics teams like ours, you're preparing
these students for these STEM careers.
By sponsoring us, your logo will be in front of audiences of
200-250 people at local tournaments (each team will
compete in approximately 3 local tournaments); should the
season go well, the State Championship (we hope that at
least one team will attend, with an audience of about 500
people); and, should we be phenomenally lucky, one of our
teams will attend the World Championship, with tens of
thousands of people in attendance. The Guinness Book of
World Records named the 2018 VEX World Championships
the largest robotics competition in history.
Thank you for your support!

The Club XCentric Robotics is starting its first season as a club, but members of our club have won a total of 49 awards in VEX IQ and VEX Robotics. Additionally, members of our club have gone to the VEX Robotics World Championships three times. XCentric Robotics is all about hard work, teamwork, and learning from both failure and success.

What is VEX Robotics? The VEX Robotics Competition is offered by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF). It is the largest robotics competition in the US and the world, and the ultimate STEM competition for Elementary, Middle School, and High School students. Each year, students compete in a different game in which they build robots to score the most points possible in qualification, finals, and skills matches. In addition to having fun and building robots, students learn important engineering skills.

Awards Over the last three seasons, our club members have won a total of 49 awards and qualified for the VEX IQ World Championships three times. Among their awards are the 2018 Worlds Teamwork Challenge Second Place Award (Overall), 2018 Worlds Robot Skills Challenge Third Place Award, and the 2018 Worlds Teamwork Challenge Science Division Second Place Award. More important than awards, students emerge with confidence in their programming and design skills.
