XFINITY TVInstalling Your XFINITY TV

Connect & Power Up

1. Connect the coax cable from your wall outlet to the Cable In connection on the back of your Digital Set Top Box.

2. Connect the HDMI cable from your Digital Set Top Box to the HDMI connection on the back of your High Definition (HD) TV.

Not your setup? Go the Alternate Setups section in your User Guide.

3. Connect the power cord from the back of your Digital Set Top Box to an electrical outlet.

4. Turn your TV on. Confirm that your TV is on.

5. Make sure that your TV input is set to the proper HDMI input. Your TV might have several HDMI inputs so you may need to consult your TV’s User Manual for help.

6. Place the batteries in your Universal Remote. Press Cable and then Power.

7. If you have other services to install, do so now.

1. Have your Account Card on hand. You can find this in the XFINITY Services folder in your kit

2. Access the internet in whatever manner you normally use (i.e., Internet Explorer or Firefox) and you will be automatically connected to the XFINITY Activation web page.

3. Follow the instructions on the displayed screens.

Set Up

Inside the Box

· Digital Transport Adapter (DTA) · Universal remote control with 2 AA batteries · Remote control signal receiver (optional) · Coax cable (2)· Power cord


Connect & Power Up

1. Find the coax cable that runs from the wall outlet to the back of your TV. Remove the end connected to the back of your TV and connect it to the Cable In connection on the back of your DTA.

2. Connect the coax cable included in your kit from your DTA to the Cable In/RF In connection on the back of your TV. (If you want to put your DTA behind your TV or out of sight, connect the remote control signal receiver to the back of the DTA and place the other end on top of or to the side of your TV.)

3. Connect the power cord on the back of your DTA to an electrical outlet.

4. TurnyourTVon.ConfirmthatyourTVisnowon.TunetoChannel 3 or 4.

5. Place the batteries in your Universal Remote.

Connect & Power Up

1. Connect the coax cable from the wall outlet to the Cable In connection on your Digital Internet & Voice Modem.

2. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet connection on your computer and the other end to the Ethernet connection on your Modem.

3. Insert battery (until it locks in place) into your Modem.

4. Connect the power cord from the back of your Modem to an electrical outlet. If your Modem has a Power button, turn it on.

5. Connect the telephone cord from your telephone into the Tel 1 connection on your Modem.
