Thy Kingdom Come
Most people, even believers, do not think often about the Second Coming of Christ. The idea of dying and presenting oneself to judgment before God, or even worse, of Jesus appearing suddenly and judging us without prior notice. But this is not the attitude that the Church wants us to have when we think of the great and triumphant return of Christ.
Quoting the prophet Daniel, the Lord said that "They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds with great power and majesty" (Daniel 7,13).
For all of us who believe and trust in Christ, his Second Coming will be an occasion of enormous joy and jubilation; It will be the moment when our King and Master will return to earth to free us once and for all from the tears and pains caused by sin.
He will take all of you faithful to heaven, to be by his side in body and soul for all eternity. This is what we ask in the Our Father every time we pray: "Thy Kingdom come."
If we wish to live each day in the presence of the Lord, loving him, treating our neighbor with love, and wishing to experience the life of Jesus, we will be filled with the longing that the Lord will come to complete the work that he left behind. Let us accept the work of God today and prepare ourselves for the hour when Jesus returns to take us to live with him in the glory of eternity. The Word Among Us

Venga a Nosotros Tu Reino
La mayoría de las personas, incluso creyentes, no piensan con frecuencia en la Segunda Venida de Cristo. La idea de morir y presentarse a juicio ante Dios, o peor aun, de que Jesús aparezca de repente y nos juzgue sin aviso previo. Pero esta no es la actitud que la Iglesia quiere que tengamos al pen-sar en el grandioso y triunfante regreso de Cristo.
Citando al profeta Daniel, el Señor dijo que “Verán venir al Hijo del hombre sobre las nubes con gran poder y majestad” (Marcos 13,26)
Para todos los que creemos y confiamos en Cristo, su Segunda Venida será una ocasión de enorme gozo y jubilo; será el momento en que nuestro Rey y Maestro volverá a la tierra a librarnos de una vez por todas de las lagrimas y los dolores causados por el pecado.
El llevara a todos lof fieles al cielo, para estar a su lado en cuerpo y alma pa-ra toda la eternidad. Esto es lo que le pedimos en el Padre Nuestro cada vez que oramos: “Venga a nosotros tu Reino.”
Si deseamos vivir cada día en la presencia del Señor, amándolo, tratando al prójimo con amor, y deseando experimentar la vid de Jesús, nos llenaremos del anhelo de que el Señor venga a completar la obra que dejo iniciada. Aceptemos la obra de Dios hoy mismo y preparémonos para la hora en que

HEART PARISH ADVENT FAIR
Sunday December 2, 2018 10:15am to noon in the Parish Hall
The Parish Advent Fair is on the First Sunday of Advent this year. We are glad to provide the materials for parishioners to make an Advent Wreath featuring beautiful fresh cedar and fir branches. Crafts for kids include again this year the Waiting Chain, and also a paper-bag puppet of St. Juan Diego with the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on his tilma, or cloak. Fr. Amal will bless the Wreaths and lead us into Advent, so we can begin to wait in hope and joy for the Baby Jesus to come to us this Christmas.

24-HOUR ADORATION
Come spend an hour with Jesus in honor of the Immaculate Concep-tion of His Blessed Mother. Thursday December 6, 6:30pm
When we worship God in the Sacred Liturgy and in Eucharistic Ado-ration it calls down many graces on the Church, our parish and each member of the Church. Therefore Sacred Heart Parish will observe 24 hours of Adora-tion of the Blessed Sacrament in celebration of the Solemnity of the Patroness of our country on Saturday December 8.
Exposition begins on Thursday December 6 after 6:30pm Mass and concludes on Friday December 7 at 5:45pm with Holy Hour and Benediction. Sign-up sheets are in the church vestibule.
24 HORAS DE ADORACIÓN
Ven a pasar una hora con Jesús en honor de la Inmaculada Concep-ción de su Santísima Madre. Jueves 6 de diciembre, 6:30 pm.
Cuando adoramos a Dios en la Sagrada Liturgia y en la Adoración Eucarística, se invocan muchas gracias sobre la Iglesia, nuestra pa-
rroquia y cada miembro de la Iglesia. Por lo tanto, la Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón celebrará las 24 horas de Adoración del Santísimo Sacramento en celebración de la Solemnidad de la Patrona de nuestro país el sábado 8 de di-ciembre.
La exposición comienza el jueves 6 de diciembre después de la misa de las 6:30 pm y concluye el viernes 7 de diciembre a las 5:45 pm con la Hora Santa y la bendición. Las hojas para apuntarse están en el vestíbulo de la iglesia.
