Every wall run requires support. To ensure safe, supported and stable configurationsVivo® Interiors partial height walls must be supported properly and at appropriate inter-vals. All support requirements for the Vivo System should be used carefully:• When designing and specifying• When installing components and equipment• When reconfiguring workstations during the life of the facility• Support considerations for wall-height support

The following considerations are critical for determining proper support when using support walls, wall starts, open return frames and support pedestals:

• Height of wall run (highest frame or highest combination or regular and stacking frames)

• Length of wall run and frequency of support• Number and type of load-bearing components being supported.• Placement and width of support

While they are listed here in the sequence in which support decisions are usually made. All of these support considerations are interdependent: Changing one of them to meet certain needs may affect the requirements for the others. For example, while a 10’ run of 57” - high frames allows a maximum of two load bearing components per frame if the length of the wall run is reduced. This ability to adjust one factor to com-pensate for another allows designers and specifiers to meet user’s specific needs for privacy, space and amount of storage.

The first four considerations (the height of the wall run, the length of the wall run and frequency of support, the number and types of load-bearing components being sup-ported, and the height of support) are covered in the Vivo planning guide. The con-siderations related to the placement and width of support are summarized later in this section. Exceptions or additional details are contained in the sections covering each consideration.

For support considerations for Off Module connection, see instruction sheet 1B4JDR in FT127.

Walls run up to 4’ require 42” returnwalls. Wall runs greater than 4’ andup to 14’ require 48” return wall walls.Wall runs up to 14’ can also be supportedby two support walls (one on each side ofconnector) with a minimum width of 24”.

Disassembly for Recycling:

Materials Identification and Segregation:Where possible, plastic components are marked with ASTM recycling codes. Use these codes to identify material type for recycling. Non marked components should be treated as mixed plastic. Ferrous metals can be identified using a small magnet for recycling. Non-ferrous metals should be separated and recycled separately.

To disassemble product, reverse steps 18 through 1.
