City police departments Breckinridge County Sheriff MADRID—According to a report filed April 18 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Jerry R. Smith, Leitchfield, reported the theft of personal property from his residence on Mercer Bend Road. The theft occurred sometime between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. GARFIELD—According to a report filed April 22 by Dep- uty Jim Beauchamp, Michael R. French, Irvington, reported that sometime between April 1 and 22 someone took seven steel hexagon or octagon- shaped service station poles from a field off US 60 near Garfield. The property was valued at $2,500. NEW BETHEL—Accord- ing to a report filed April 24 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, no injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident at 2:58 p.m. six miles north of Har- dinsburg on KY 2779. Kendra M. Wells, 18, Reynolds Sta- tion, was northbound in a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. Wells said she was going too fast around a curve when she met another vehicle. Her car went off the shoulder of the roadway. Wells overcorrected, and the car ran off the roadway, striking a fence and a mailbox. The car was towed from the scene with moderate to severe damage. CUSTER—According to a report filed April 26 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, no injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident two miles west of Custer on KY 86. Donald R. Adcox, 69, Harned, was backing out of a private drive in a 2009 Ford Econoline van owned by Central Kentucky Community Action Council, Lebanon. A 2001 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Daniel J. Livermore, 33, Custer, had pulled into the driveway beside the van. Ad- cox failed to see the truck and the van backed into the side of the pickup. Both vehicles re- mained in service with minor to moderate damage. HUDSON—According to a report filed April 27 by Dep- uty Jim Beauchamp, Deborah Roof, Big Clifty, reported that sometime between April 25 and 27 someone broke into a vacant trailer twice. The first time a rear window was broken out to gain entry. The second time the front door glass was broken. Several win- dows appeared to have been shot with a BB or pellet gun. The walls and furniture in the home had been spray-painted. WESTVIEW—According to a report filed April 27 by Deputy Jimmy Gilpin, no in- juries were reported in a one- vehicle accident at 1:26 p.m. five miles south of Westview on KY 79. James Q. Himmel- haver, 20, Hardinsburg, was northbound in a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. Himmelhaver said the car’s front end was shak- ing and he was trying to find out what was wrong. The car ran off the right side of the roadway, crossed the roadway, and struck a ditch. The car was towed from the scene with moderate to severe damage. McDANIELS—Accord- ing to a report filed April 28 by Deputy Billy Richardson, Mark Brown, McDaniels, reported a burglary at a ga- rage on KY 259. The metal building had a hole in the rear corner that appeared to be cut open with tin snips by the perpetrators. Property valued at $1,680 was taken from the garage. LODIBURG—According to a report filed May 1 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, one person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 2:47 p.m. two miles south of Lo- diburg on KY 86. Jessica L. Veit, 33, Bonnieville, was westbound in a 1994 Chevy pickup. Veit said as the truck entered a curve, its brakes failed. The truck went off the roadway, down an embank- ment, and struck a tree. Veit was transported by ambulance to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. The truck was towed from the scene with moderate to severe damage. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed May 4 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Joseph W. Cleaver, 30, Irvington, was arrested at 11 a.m. on Glen Nash Lane. Cleaver was served a bench warrant from Hardin County for failure to appear. GARFIELD—According to a report filed May 4 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Kimberly L. Bowlds, Garfield, reported that someone entered her home and destroyed per- sonal property. Bowlds said someone had moved into the home and had taken items out of the house, burned and destroyed clothing, and ran- sacked the home. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a citation filed May 4 by Deputy Chris Woosley, Bobby J. Dean, 45, Maceo, was arrested at 6:51 p.m. on Glen Nash Lane. Dean was served a warrant. CUSTER—According to a report filed May 8 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Julie M. Graham, Custer, reported that the back door of her resi- dence on Pile and Ford Road had been kicked in. Nothing appeared to have been taken from the home. HARDINSBURG—Ac- cording to a report filed May 7 by Deputy Billy Richardson, Timothy Brown, 48, SeRee, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. on Courthouse Square. Brown was served a warrant from Meade County. McDANIELS—Accord- ing to a report filed May 9 by Chief Deputy Bruce Anthony, Gerald T. Ortense, Hardinsburg, reported that someone had broken into his rented storage building on KY 259. Ortense said he thought the theft occurred in March. Various personal property was reported stolen. HARDINSBURG—Ac- Jury finds two guilty on all charges HARDINSBURG—Two men from Jefferson County were found guilty on all charges following a two-day jury trial May 7-8 in Division II of Breckinridge Circuit Court. Both Patrick Wayne Darcy, 35, Fairdale, and Randy Q. McCleery Jr., 33, Louisville, were indicted by a Breck- inridge County Grand Jury in January 2012. The indict- ments alleged that on Nov. 28, 2011 Darcy and Mc- Cleery burglarized the resi- dence of Justin Ball on KY 261 north of Hardinsburg and took property from the home. Amoroso Tolhurst, 27, Irvington, was arrested at 5:57 p.m. at the Breckinridge County Justice Center. Tol- hurst was served a warrant for failure to pay fines and costs.
