Do you agree there is a generation gap between you and your parents? How can you narrow the gap? 3. Communication is very important in helping you and your parents become closer. Why do teenagers sometimes refuse to communicate with their parents? 4. What kinds of growing pains have you experienced? In what time of life do teenagers usually experience growing pains? Growing pains: Often quarrel with your parents because they forbid listening to foreign music/ chatting online/ going out with friends/ have too much homework and no time to relax sometimes feel lonely and feel no one else can understand you have to depend on your parents and cant make your own choices Read and answer Read the article Growing pains in Part A. While reading, try to find out what different kinds of growing pains are talked in the article. 1. How many kinds of growing pains are mentioned in the article? Kinds of growing pains: physical changes psychological changes how to fit in society 2. How many parts can this article be divided into and what is the main point for each part? Part 1 Para 1-2 Many teenagers feel lonely and are going through many changes. These changes are part of adolescence. Part 2 Part 3 Physical changes and psychological changes happen inside teenagers. They become confused and want to know how to fit in society. Para 3-5 Growing pains do not last long. Para 6 1.What are the growing pains? 2. What is adolescence?
