THANK YOU!
for the cards and notes of encouragement we received
this week. It is our privilege and pleasure to serve the
congregation of Maranatha.
In His service,

Saturday, November 12 at 8 am Family Life Center
Join us for breakfast as we honor the men and women who have served us faithfully over many decades. The event is free for veterans and just $8 for everyone else. CLICK HERE to sign up or visit the church office.
This event is limited to the first 250 people who sign up.
NEW CARE PASTOR
At the end of September, Don Rohrbacher retired as our Care Pastor. Don has served on staff in this capacity for the past ten years. He will continue teaching the SALT ABF. We thank Don for his faithful service. Please wish
him well as you pass him in the hallways.
We are pleased to welcome Bob Weiss who has stepped into the Care Pastor role.
Bob’s desire is to minister to people within a hospital context, to those who are shut-ins, within a nursing home or hospice setting, or to anyone in this troubled world searching for biblical hope for the future and for an eternal perspective based on a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ. He finds it satisfying to remind people of God’s faithfulness to keep His promises, of His love for them, and of His gracious provision for them, both now and
forever.
Bob spent more than 30 years both training at Penn State and then teaching mechanical engineering and math. Later, he used his ministry training from numerous correspondence
courses (from Moody Bible Institute, Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake IN, and Dallas Theological Seminary), to teach Bible classes, and to serve as a hospice chaplain for 12 years in Indiana and Texas.
He lives with his wife Cindy in Norton near their daughter and three grandsons. He finds his role as a Care Pastor and as a part-time ABF teacher extremely satisfying.
MOMS AM Group: Join us in room 402 for a Fall Clothing Swap.
Bring all the clothes your baby/children have outgrown – along with any toys and pregnancy clothes.
Women: Join us for a fun time with your friends and your favorite
hobby. Bring your own craft and supplies!
WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
OPEN HOUSE FOR
BIRNEY & NANCY BOYD
Join us on Sunday, October
23, from 3-5 pm, in Room 510 for an open house
celebrating the ministry of Birney & Nancy Boyd as
they retire from overseas missions work. Birney and
Nancy were the first missionaries sent out by
Maranatha. For the past 20 years they have faithfully served
in Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Philippines, and Nigeria.
