Dear members,

The organizing team of MPIOACON 2018 has announced the dates for the upcoming

conference in Indore so their intentions are very clear “make it unforgettable”. The

conference is for sharing knowledge and having fun on the side but it should not

overshadow the primary objective. We know that Indorians always “make it large” so

nothing less is expected of them this time. My suggestion is to give MP faculty more of

space and encourage young turks to share the platform. I know that arranging a

conference is becoming a bit di�cult so cutting corners as far as hospitality is concerned

is excusable. The association is always there to bail out in case of di�culty. The scienti�c

programme should be tailored according to the need of the day and what delegates

want. With these few concerns, I bid the organizers best of luck and success in their

CADAVERIC WORKSHOP ON DIFFICULT SURGICAL APPROACHES

Target delegates: Orthopaedic surgeons dealing with routine trauma cases

• There will be lectures only on tips & tricks and video demonstration by experts on approaches.

• Demonstration of di�cult surgical approach by senior faculty members followed by practice by delegates on cadavers

Approaches to be demonstrated are:

• Stoppa’s approach for acetabulum

• Postero medial approach of proximal tibia

• Postero lateral approach of proximal tibia

• Anterolateral approach of distal tibia

• Deltoid Splitting Approach

• Anterior bridge plating humerus approach

7. Senior citizens (only MP IOA members) above 65 years of age are exempted from conference fee only. But they have to pay the incidental charges, workshop and banquet charges.

Sri Aurobindo Medical College & PG Institute is named after the Indian yogi and philosopher Sri Aurobindo. It has the largest campus among medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over a sprawling area of 70 acres
