TheInfinityboxJ1939inMOTIONCellbringsflexiblemultiplexedpowerdistributiontoanyvehiclebuilder.UsingstandardJ1939PGNstructuresandcommands,youcancontroltheoutputsontheinMOTIONwithpracticallyanyJ1939inputdevice.
inMOTIONisauniqueproductbecauseitmanagespolaritycontrolofloadsthatchangedirection.Examplesincludewindowlifts,lockactuatorsandlinearactuators.inMOTIONalsohastheabilitytomonitorthecurrentflowingtotheload.Itlearnsthenominalcurrentrequiredtomovetheload.Iftheactualcurrentexceedsthelearnedvalue,theoutputturnsoffwhichstopsmovementoftheload.
TheJ1939inMOTIONCellcomeswithastandardconfigurationthatallowstheend‐userbroadflexibilityincreatingtheirownlayoutstosuittheiruniqueapplications.UsingsimplesoftwaretoolsfromtheirJ1939inputdevicemanufacturer,theycanquicklyconfigurethesysteminthefield.Incaseswherecustomconfigurationsarerequiredforaspecificvehicle,thesystemcanbemodifiedeasily.Contacttechnicalsupportformoredetails.

MountingtheinMOTIONCellMounttheinMOTIONCellonasuitableflatsurfaceinthevehicle.Usethe4mountingpointsinthecornersofthecelland1/4–inchhardware.TherecommendedmethodtomounttheinMOTIONCellistouse¼‐inchX5/8‐inchshoulderscrews.Ifnotusingshoulderscrews,takecareastonotcrushthemountingpointsbyovertighteningthescrews.
Supplying12‐voltPowerandGroundTheinMOTIONCellgetsits12‐voltpowerandgroundfromthe2dual6.3mmconnectorsontheedgeofthecell.Eachoftheseconnectorscanacceptupto50‐amps.Sincethecellreversespolaritytotheloads,theconnectormustpassoutthegroundcurrenttothechassis.BothoftheinputconnectorsmustbeusedforpowerandgroundfortheinMOTIONCell.Thegroundwiresshouldmatchthegaugeofthepowerinputwiresandshouldbeconnectedtothevehicleground.ItisimportantthattheinMOTIONCellisgroundedtothechassisthroughametal‐to‐metalconnection.Makesuretoremoveallpaint,powdercoating,dirtandgreasefromthecontactarea.Thefollowingtablesummarizesallofthecomponentsfortheseconnectors.TheinMOTIONCellinputconnectorsusereadilyavailableconnectorcomponentsfromDelphi.SeetheinstructionsfromDelphiforproperassemblyandterminationoftheseconnectorcomponents.Table1:inMOTIONInputConnectorComponents.

PoweringtheSystemOncetheJ1939inputdevicesareproperlysetupandconfigured,connectthenetworkto+12voltsthroughtheinputharnessestothecells.After3seconds,thesystemwillbecommunicatingwiththeJ1939inputdevices.ThereisablueLEDlocatedtowardsthecenteroftheinMOTIONCellundertheclearcover.Thislightindicatesthestatusofthecommunicationonthenetwork.Whenthesystemisproperlyconnectedandcommunicating,thelightshouldblinkattherateestablishedontheHMIswitchpanel.ThelightwillalsoflashwhenitreceivesaswitchcommandfromoneoftheJ1939inputdevicesonthenetwork.IftheblueLEDdoesnotilluminateatall,checktomakesurethatyouaregettingpowertotheinMOTIONCell.

WarrantyInformationInfinitybox,LLC(“Infinitybox”)warrantsagainstanydefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshiptotheProduct’smodules,wiringharnessesandaccessorymodulesforaperiodofone(1)yearfromthefirstdateofpurchase.Subjecttothetermsofthiswarrantydescribedbelow,InfinityboxwillreplaceanysuchdefectiveProductthatisreturnedtoInfinityboxwithintheone(1)yearperiodfrominitialpurchase.ReplacementofanydefectivepartorProductwillnotextendtheapplicablewarrantyperiod.Thewarrantydoesnotapplyto:(i)anyProductthatisnotinstalledincompliancewiththeapplicableProductdocumentation;(ii)anydefectin,orfailureof,theProductresultingfromanaccident,shock,negligence,waterimmersionormisuse;(iii)anyProductthathasbeenmodified,adjusted,repaired,ordisassembledbyanypartyotherthanInfinitybox;or(iv)anydefectotherthaninmaterialsandworkmanship.ThiswarrantycoversonlytheoriginalpurchaserofProductpurchasedfromanInfinityboxauthorizeddealerintheUnitedStates.Inordertoreceivewarrantyservice,purchasermustprovideInfinityboxwithacopyofthereceiptstatingthedealername,productpurchasedanddateofpurchase.Productsfoundtobedefectiveduringthewarrantyperiodwillbereplaced(withaproductdeemedtobeequivalentorbetter)atthediscretionofInfinitybox.Infinitybox’ssoleliabilityforanydefectiveProductislimitedsolelytothereplacementofProductpursuanttothiswarranty.Infinityboxreservestherighttoreplaceanyrepairablepartswithneworrefurbishedparts.INFINITYBOXDISCLAIMSALLOTHERWARRANTIES,WHETHEREXPRESS,IMPLIEDORSTATUTORY,SUCHASWARRANTIESOFMERCHANTABILITYANDFITNESSFORPURPOSE.INNOEVENTSHALLINFINITYBOXBELIABLEFORANYPUNITIVE,INDIRECT,INCIDENTALORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES,INCLUDINGWITHOUTLIMITATION,LIABILITYFORLOSSOFUSE,LOSSOFPROFITS,LOSSOFPRODUCTORBUSINESSINTERRUPTIONHOWEVERTHESAMEMAYBECAUSED,INCLUDINGNEGLIGENCE.
