Welcome

The City of Wisconsin Rapids extends a warm welcome to our charming city and beautiful southern Wood County. We are a unique place where you’ll encounter an array of industry, beautiful scenery and one of a kind experiences any time of the year. The Wisconsin River that gave life to the timber and paper industry during our city’s founding still fuels the power produced to support that industry as well as many recreational uses. Coated paper was invented right here in Wisconsin Rapids. The magazines, annual reports and catalogues that are a part of our everyday life are probably printed on paper manufactured right here in ‘Rapids’, home also to the last paper machine built in North America. Wisconsin Rapids is also home to Renaissance Learning, a company that pioneered educational software and hardware used in over 67,000 schools throughout the World. We are pleased to have Ocean Spray as a part of our community, producing “Craisins” in our Westside Industrial Park. We also have Mariani, a family run specialty cranberry products company. With local companies specializing in production of cranberries, paper and education technology, our region offers a wide array of business and industry, natural resources and embraces all types of business endeavors.

Our community offers recreational outdoor activities all year long. Wisconsin Rapids has over 25 miles of trails, and whether you prefer to run, bike or just take your time and enjoy the scenery, there is sure to be a perfect path for you! In the spring and summer, baseball fans can spend an enjoyable evening with family and friends at Witter Field watching the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, our very own Northwood’s League team. During winter months, hockey fans can check out Wisconsin Rapids’ newly launched hockey team– the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings. For recreational golfers and enthusiasts alike, Wisconsin Rapids is home to several beautiful golf courses that will allow participants to take in the various landscapes and beautiful scenery.

Each season brings additional activities to take part in and observe such as the Cranberry Blossom Festival held in late June which includes live music, cranberry blossom tours and a parade. The Fourth of July in Wisconsin Rapids is always a widely attended celebration of patriotism, family and tradition; and late July brings the ever popular Annual Wisconsin State Water-Ski Show Championships held at Lake Wazeecha. While in September, the annual “Grand Affair” showcases our vibrant downtown and waterfront area.

Regardless of how you choose to experience it, our area will provide you with an abundance of opportunities to live, work and play. It is a pleasure to welcome you to Wisconsin Rapids!

50 years ago, what made you decide to open your farm to visitors? Since I bought the farm, I have enjoyed being connected to the consumer. Providing the experience of picking your own produce pre-harvest has always been a part of my vision.

What is your favorite memory on the farm? My favorite memory is of my children sitting on a pile of pumpkins, all of which also had the pumpkins that they carved in their hands. The photo even ended up on the front page of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Why is farming so important to everyday people? When you pick your own and buy directly from a farmer, you have a better understanding of where your food is coming from.

You offer so many seasonal activities….how do you pull it off? Thanks to the help of many wonderful employees, friends and family members. Along, with the support of the Wisconsin Rapids Area communities.

If you wanted visitors to know just one thing about Altenburg’s, what would it be? That over the last 50 years, we have raised a family, numerous crops of fruits and vegetables and many memories on our farm. We invite you to grow memories on our farm and have a fun family farm experience!

*The pumpkin in the cover photo weighed over 884 pounds and was featured at the Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Festival. Harold’s two horses, Molly and Mabel ate it in one day.

The Wisconsin Rapids Area is home to beautiful settings and friendly communities. Experience a variety of local colors and flavors by getting out and exploring the area’s parks, town squares, and welcoming atmospheres.

BABCOCK Babcock is located in the southwestern corner of Wood County, a small residential community with rural aspects. Home to Sandhill Wildlife Area and Ocean Spray’s cranberry receiving station, Babcock truly has nature’s best: birds and berries.

BIRON Biron offers a blend of natural beauty and quiet residential neighborhoods with an abundance of wildlife, and recreation, due to its location along the banks of the Wisconsin River. Home to one of North America’s finest coated paper manufacturing facilities, as well as hundreds of acres of thriving cranberry marshes, Biron’s diverse landscape provides the perfect place to live, work, and play in the Heart of Wisconsin.

CRANMOOR Cranmoor is home to Wisconsin’s cranberry production and the world’s largest inland marsh. The town boasts acres upon acres of cranberry beds which are a beautiful sight to behold while driving the world famous Cranberry Highway® during the fall harvest and spring blossom time.

GRAND RAPIDS The town of Grand Rapids is the third largest community in Wood County. Known for its central location, wooded residential areas, and access to a variety of recreational activities. The community is also home to Lake Wazeecha and South Wood County Park, a favorite spot for recreational walks, camping, biking, boating and fishing.

KELLNER Kellner is a rural community located on the Portage County border. Kellner has retained its midwestern charm and is the perfect setting for a Sunday drive. The town boasts country cooking cafés and charming shops throughout.

NEKOOSA The City of Nekoosa is a small residential community with a strong sense of place. It began as a fur trapping and trading community, but the community’s prime location on the Wisconsin River soon led to other industries. By the 19th century Nekoosa had established itself as home of “Peter Papermaker,” a symbol of papermaking ingenuity and manufacturing. Riverside Park is a striking spacious site, near Nekoosa’s business quarter which is home to several large events including Walleye Days in the spring. Be sure to mark your calendars and come enjoy the famous Giant Pumpkin Festival in the fall at the Nekoosa Business Park.

PITTSVILLE Pittsville is located at the geographical center of Wisconsin, offering a peaceful residential midway between Wood County’s two largest cities: Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids. Majestic antique homesteads, faded red barns, acres of cranberry beds, and family farms all contribute to Pittsville’s charms.

PORT EDWARDS Originally titled “French Town,” the pioneers of Port Edwards, including its founder John Edwards, dammed the Wisconsin River in 1840 to provide water power for a saw mill.Today, Port Edwards thrives on the preservation of the area’s history, its beauty, and an abundance of recreational opportunities. Port Edwards is the perfect place to stop for a picnic or snack while biking between Wisconsin Rapids and Nekoosa along the Wisconsin River.

ROME Rome is an area rich in recreational opportunities and natural beauty. Home of “the lakes”: Arrowhead, Camelot, Petenwell, and Sherwood. The community prides itself on the numerous acres within the town available for recreation including: boating, fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, trapshooting, various motor sports and more. Rome is also home to Dyracuse Off-Road Park and the Homegrounds, which is the headquarters of the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association. They also offer several annual events and when in Rome you’ll be sure to fall in love with the town for all seasons.

RUDOLPH Rudolph is a charming community located approximately 7 miles north of Wisconsin Rapids. An agricultural area once populated by sawmill and stave mill workers. Rudolph is now home to a thriving cheese factory, Wisconsin’s largest grotto, and several quaint country stores. Rudolph’s Country Christmas, which includes a one-day special cancellation from the postal service for letters to friends and family, is celebrated every December.

VESPER Thriving on its rural charm, Vesper offers much of what we prize about our nations agricultural areas. After a fire in 1894 that destroyed what is now considered “old” Vesper they rebuilt and utilized the burnt-over land for dairy farming to create new business. Vesper has a unique heritage and a tranquil charm that is reminiscent of years ago making it the quintessential example of perfect rural respite.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS Wisconsin Rapids, the county seat of Wood County is a consolidation of the two early towns of Grand Rapids and Centralia; the former lying on the east side of the Wisconsin River, the latter on the west. The Indians gave to this place along the river the name of “Ah-dah-wa-gam,” meaning the “two-sided rapids,” as the rapids here were divided in two by a great boulder. Wisconsin Rapids today offers a Midwestern charm and atmosphere while providing access to modern infrastructure and technology, abundant educational and cultural opportunities, a mix of retail establishments and restaurants, and a stable business environment.

Cranberry Blossom Festival June 18-21, 2015 Wisconsin Rapids Wisconsin Rapids is in the heart of cranberry country and we are proud to celebrate where the berries begin. The festival is filled with “berry” fun events including, live music, a parade, arts and crafts, a carnival and of course culinary treats featuring Wisconsin’s #1 fruit crop, the cranberry!

Robert Wakely’s settlement at Point Basse was the beginning of the navigable Wisconsin River. Wisconsin River Papermaking Museum 730 First Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids 715-424-3037 The Wisconsin River Papermaking Museum features a pictorial history of the 100-year old mansion that houses the museum as well as photos and history of the development of the dam on the Wisconsin River at Grand Rapids/Centralia and the beginnings of Consolidated Water Power & Paper Company. Traveling exhibits about papermaking are also brought in as available. Open to the public free of charge on Tuesday and Thursday 1-4 pm.

Experience the cranberry harvest, listen to the song of the sandhill crane and view the vibrant fall colors over a bright sea of red. Learn history and fun facts, view videos and shop for cranberry-themed gifts at the Glacial Lake Cranberries Visitor Center. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the harvest in action and breathtaking views! Tours offered during harvest season which is late September through late October. Reservations are required.

Our display of Disney animator Grim Nat-wick’s work includes Betty Boop, Mr. Ma-goo, Snow White and others. The Krohn photographs from the 1950s are still on view. We invite you to walk through a history of cranberry growing, business districts and lumbering in our area. We also feature a country kitchen, school room and a train depot. Open Labor Day through Memorial Day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 1-4 pm. No charge. Tours can be scheduled upon request year-round and our grounds are available for weddings and senior photographs.

The Wisconsin River Papermaking Museum focuses on papermaking history in the Wisconsin River valley and particularly history of the Consolidated Water Power & Paper Company which was headquartered in Wisconsin Rapids for over 100 years.

The Museum features two local history exhibits. The first is a pictorial history of the 100-year-old mansion that houses the museum. The second tells the story of the development of the dam on the Wisconsin River at Grand Rapids/Centralia.

Traveling exhibits about papermaking are also brought in as they are available.

The Lakes Course Like The Pines, The Lakes received Golf Digest’s 4.5 Star ranking in its “Places to Play” section. Upon opening in 1998, The Lakes Course promptly was nominated for Best New Public Course in America. The course features bentgrass fairways, sculpted bunkers, natural sands areas, large undulating greens and four sets of boxes to allow golfers to match the course yardage to their own ability.

The Pines Course Golf Digest awarded The Pines a 4.5 Star “Places to Play” Award Winner and ranked the course among its top 75 public courses in America. Tucked among tall pines and lush woodlands, The Pines provides the ultimate golf experience for players of all skill levels. Opened in 1982, it is the original 18-hole championship course and has matured into the golfing equivalent of a fine wine.

The Ridges Golf Course 2311 Griffith Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids 715-424-3204 www.ridgesgolfcourse.com The Ridges is sometimes looked upon as a course with two distinctly different nine hole layouts. The front nine has more length and man-made hazards while God made the hazards of the back nine. The back nine is heavily wooded and begins on an actual ridge with a tee shot that overlooks towering pines, the Buena Vista Creek and the flourishing valley floor more than 80 feet below. Ask our members, and they’ll tell you that at The Ridges it is often best to leave the driver in your bag when you make the turn! The front nine has its challenges, but the back nine is undeniably different.

Tri-City Golf Course 3000 Golf Course Road, Wisconsin Rapids 715-423-1380 This 9 hole public facility is set in the center of Wisconsin Rapids and on the Bull’s Eye Country Club property; complete with a full service golf shop, driving range and bar.  The course plays just over 2,800 and is equipped with three sets of tee boxes for golfers of any caliber to enjoy walking or while riding in a cart.

Dexter County Park 8200 Highway 54, Pittsville, WI 715-421-8422 Located 6 miles south of Pittsville, the park surrounds the 298-acre Lake Dexter, famous for its acres of wildlife and game fish. Totaling more than 1,200 acres, the park offers 95 campsites, 92 of which are electrical. Campground facilities include showers, picnic areas, boat launch, beach area and an enclosed shelter. The park provides a scenic, undeveloped, wooded area for users. The Wood County Park and Forestry Department takes campsite reservation up to 11 months in advance. On-site registration for non-reserved sites begins May 1 at the campground, through the park closing date, following the 9-day gun deer hunt in November.

North Wood County Park 7500 Park Lane, Arpin, WI 715-421-8422 Located 5 miles north of Highway 13 and 80 on County Road A. The 172-acre park is located on the banks of the Yellow River. Two small artificial lakes created by dams on the river and a small pine-wooded island provide scenic beauty for the entire area. One of the main attractions of the park is the 225-foot suspension bridge over the river. Other attractions include a frisbee golf course, stone shelter for rent and beach area. There are 99 campsites located at North Park, 78 of these

are electrical. Shower facilities are available. The Wood County Park and Forestry Department takes campsite reservations up to 11 months in advance. On-site registration for non-reserved sites begins May 1 at the campground, through the park closing date, October 31.

South Wood County Park 64th Street South, Kellner, WI 715-421-8422 Located 5.5 miles east of Wisconsin Rapids, the park surrounds the 148-acre Lake Wazeecha, which is the Indian term for “lake of the land of the pines.” Totaling more than 325 acres, the park offers 73 campsites, 61 of which are electrical. Campground facilities include a concession stand with ice and wood, showers, picnic areas, playground, beach area and boat launch. The Wood County Park and Forestry Department takes campsite reservations up to 11 months in advance. On-site registration for non-reserved sites begins May 1 at the campground, through the park closing date, October 31.

Take a Hike or Pedal a BikeCentral Wisconsin’s unique topographical blend of winding hills and flat river areas make it one of the best areas for cycling enthusiasts. Downtown Wisconsin Rapids is quickly becoming a popular destination for cyclists with recent developments such as the Wisconsin River Trail. The area’s extensive network of trails extends outward to the suburbs, offering a multitude of cycling opportunities. Ahdawagam Trail System More than 20 miles of biking trails are included in the City of Wisconsin Rapids’ recreational system. Traversing through wooded and urban areas, along the riverfront, or aside city streets, the system is composed of five distinct trails ranging from 3 to 7 miles in length.

Sandhill’s Swamp Buck Trail Nestled on an oak upland between two marshes is the trail head of Sandhill’s Swamp Buck Trail. This trail takes the adventuresome off the beaten path through forests and over myriad marshes that look much the same as they did following the glacier’s retreat 10,000 years ago. The trail ends at North Bluff, 3.5 miles from the trail head. A spring or fall experience on the Swamp Buck Trail is beyond description.

South Wood County Recreation Trail Circle the wooded shoreline of Lake Wazeecha, which is the Indian name for “lake of the land of the pines,” on this 4.1 mile multi-use recreation trail, complete with picnic areas and unforgettable views.

Wisconsin River Trail You’ll find glorious trees, singing birds, river views, and great company along the Wisconsin River Trail. Traveling from downtown Wisconsin Rapids through Port Edwards and into Nekoosa, this 9.5-mile trail connects the communities through a dedicated, paved, bike trail. Pack a picnic, grab a map, and set off on a family adventure.

lsmap key Blue Trail The Blue Trail is paved and is constructed on top of an old railroad bed. The trail runs from Seneca Road; the border between Wisconsin Rapids and Port Edwards; north to West Grand Avenue. Along the way you will go past numerous wetlands and forest areas as well as pass by the City’s Zoo. At West Grand Avenue you can cross over the Riverview Expressway and connect with the Green Trail. You can also cross over just south of the Zoo and connect with the Red Trail. If you continue south of Seneca Road you will connect with other Wood County trails that run through Port Edwards and Nekoosa. The Blue Trail is 3.1 miles long.

Green Trail The Green Trail follows the Riverview Expressway east through the city. From the intersection of Highway 54 and

the Riverview Expressway you can continue east into the Town of Grand Rapids. The trail ends at Reddin Road near the city limits on the north side of town. The Green Trail is 6.6 miles long.

Purple Trail The Purple Trail begins at the intersection of Highway 54 and the Riverview Expressway. Proceed north along Highway 54, crossing Washington Street. Two blocks north of Washington Street, the trail goes through a pedestrian underpass emerging at Robinson Park. If you cross Highway 54 at Washington Street you can continue north over a railroad overpass to Spring Street. From there go west on Spring Street to 1st Street North and connect with the Red Trail. The Purple Trail is 3.8 miles long.

Red Trail The Red Trail begins at the Ben Hansen Park (parking is available). The paved trail runs north along the Wisconsin River through Ben Hansen Park and Lyons Park, passing under the

Riverview Expressway Bridge and continues north along 1st Avenue South to the Grand Avenue Bridge. After crossing the Grand Avenue Bridge, the trail continues north again through Veterans Park and Mead Rapids View Park. The trail resumes its northward trek along 1st Street into the Village of Biron. The Red Trail is 3.8 miles long.

Yellow Trail The Yellow Trail begins at Demitz Park at the intersection of 3rd Street South and the Riverview Expressway. The trail heads south along 1st Street South and joins the Airport trail at Two Mile Avenue where it heads east to Sampson Street then south again to Griffith Avenue. You can then proceed east along Griffith Avenue to Nepco Lake Park. The Yellow Trail is 4.1 miles long.

Open early April through October offering an opportunity watch, practice or participate for those thrill seekers in Motocross, Hill Climb and Harescramble events. Situated on 334 acres and features a motocross track, a supercross track and over 10 miles of trials. The park includes a picnic area, playground, shelter and restrooms.

Wood County ATV Area 4415 Highway 54, Port Edwards, WI 715-421-8422 Located about 3 miles west of Port Edwards on Highway 54, the Wood County ATV Area offers 10 miles of developed trail on 400 acres of county forest land. Open year round with the exception of the gun deer season. They have running water, restrooms, a playground, loading ramp and enclosed shelter available for your convenience.

Sandhill Wildlife Area Trumpeter Trail Mid April to late October The Trumpeter Trail Auto Tour, a 14-mile, allweather road, provides a quiet glimpse into the area’s wildlife and habitats. Interpretive signs along the trail provide information on area wildlife, habitat management and unique features. Climb one of three observation towers located throughout the area to catch an aerial view of the wildlife and habitat in its undisturbed form. A small herd of American bison, white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, Canada geese, ducks, loons, bald eagles, sandhill cranes, shorebirds, songbirds, hawks, owls and furbearers find a great home here at Sandhill. You will find the land is a remote, quiet wildlife oasis amidst a bustling world dominated by people.

Cranberry Highway Mid-September to late October Curling past fields and farms, creeks and clouds, waterfowl and other wonders, the Cranberry Highway® reveals some of the best fall color you’ll see this season: the red sea of cranberries coupled with the blazing yellows and oranges from fall leaves. Wisconsin River: From its headwaters on the Wisconsin- Michigan border, it falls more than 1,000 feet on its 500-mile journey through the states, before emptying into the Mississippi River in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Once full of logging rafts and tradesman, the river now tells a success story based on thriving aquatic life and a variety of recreational opportunities, including several scenic parks and trails located in and around downtown Wisconsin Rapids.

Lake Arrowhead: Developed in the 1970s, Lake Arrowhead totals more than 300 acres and is surrounded by a private residential development. Public use of facilities is restricted to Lake Arrowhead County Park, located on the west end of the lake off 15th Avenue. The park features a boat launch, beach, picnic area and restrooms. Open May 1–November 1.

Lake Camelot: More than 445 acres includes northern pike, bass, walleye and pan fish. A public boat launch at Lake Camelot is maintained by Adams County. The launch is located in the Town of Rome on 10th Avenue off Apache Avenue.

Lake Dexter: Developed in 1962, Dexter Lake totals some 300 acres and is surrounded by more than 1,000 acres of wild or undeveloped land with abundant wildlife and game fish. With a maximum depth of 17 feet, Dexter Lake offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities including northern pike, walleye, bass, crappie, perch, bluegills and suckers. Dexter County Park includes two boat launches, a handicapped fishing pier and a fish cleaning house.

Lake Nepco: Venture onto nearly 500 acres of pristine water at Lake Nepco. Surrounded by Nepco Lake County Park, located 1 mile south of Wisconsin Rapids on Highway 13, the lake and park were donated to the county in 1977 by Nekoosa Papers, Inc. The park features a beach area, boat ramp, picnic area, playground, handicapped access boat dock and small shelter. With a maximum depth of 29 feet, Nepco Lake features a wide variety of fishing including northern pike, walleye, bass, musky and bluegill.

Necedah National Wildlife Refuge N11385 Headquarter Road, Necedah, WI 608-565-2551 www.fws.gov/refuge/necedahHike, hunt, fish, view wildlife, take pictures, or participate in a public event in the 44,000 acres of wildlife habitat at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge! The Visitor Center and Karner Korner store are located off of Highway 21, west of Necedah. Year-round fun for all ages!

Lake Petenwell: Wisconsin’s second largest body of water (23,000 acres). As home to a variety of game fish, including northern pike, bass, walleye, pan fish and musky, Petenwell hosts a variety of fishing tournaments throughout the year. Locally known “hot spots” include Devil’s Elbow, the mouth of Fourteen Mile Creek, Barnum Bay, and Strongs Prairie. These areas provide abundant underwater structure and harbor good concentrations of fish. A variety of boat launches are located on Petenwell.

Lake Sherwood: Venture onto 246 acres of water for an afternoon of boating or fishing northern pike, bass, walleye and pan fish. A public boat launch at Lake Sherwood Lodge is maintained by Adams County. The launch is located behind the Shermalot Motel on Queens Way, Rome.

Lake Wazeecha: Lake Wazeecha, the Indian name for “lake of the land of the pines,” totals 131 acres and is surrounded by South Wood County Park. The lake provides two beach areas, handicapped fish access area, and ample opportunities for boating, water skiing and fishing. A variety of pan fish, bass and northern pike were stocked in the lake during the county’s dredging project in 1994. Although famous for hosting the Wisconsin State Water-Ski Show Championship, Lake Wazeecha prides itself on its two beaches, White Sand and Red Sand.

Ice fishing is a completely unique experience and once you try it you’ll be hooked for life! Let the local experts set you up in an ice house, get it well stocked, then kick back and enjoy a very Wisconsin tradition. A great way to get a second shot at the one that got away! Lakes Nepco, Dexter, and Wazeecha are excellent areas for ice fishing. Be extremely cautious of ice conditions at all times. Too cold to spend the day? Be sure to check the annual calendar of events for Historic Point Basse’s ice harvest or one of our local community’s ice fisheries!

Cross-country skiing is everywhere, with hundreds of miles of well-marked trails traversing private lands and state areas. Break away from the more crowded touring centers and let yourself experience the splendid isolation of the Wisconsin woods in winter.

Downhill skiing and tubing aficionados can find all the thrills without all the lines at Powers Bluff Winter Sports Area. Ski, boot, and pole rentals are readily available for a trouble-free winter adventure.

Powers Bluff Winter Sports Area 6990 Bluff Drive, Arpin, WI 715-421-8422 www.co.wood.wi.us/departments/parks Powers Bluff, a 160-acre park located just 17 miles northwest of Wisconsin Rapids, is home to downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, tubing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. A two-story stone shelter building includes a warming house with concessions, ski, snowboard, boot, and pole rentals. Tow passes are available for purchase on site. Open seasonally, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 5 pm. Call ahead to verify holiday schedule.

Powers Bluff is home to three downhill skiing and snowboarding trails varying from 1,320 to 1,500 feet in length. The estimated vertical drop is 250 feet. The downhill trails are operated by a handle grip tow, which is an ideal system for beginners and snow boarders. Ski, boot, and pole rentals are available on site. Handle grip tow tickets are available for purchase on site.

Families will love tubing! Descend through the snow on a fast-paced tube while visiting Powers Bluff winter sports area. Four tube runs are available, with two handle grip tows that lessen your wait time during your winter adventure. Tubes are provided at no charge with the purchase of a tube hill ticket. No outside tubes are allowed.

Sandhill Wildlife Area’s auto trail closes in October, but that’s when the real magic begins. Bring your snowshoes or cross-country skis and discover Sandhill’s winter secrets. The trail is free to enter, although a kind donation from you is very much appreciated. A donation box is located at the chalet near the Sandhill entrance gate.

Nepco Lake County Park is located one mile south of Wisconsin Rapids on Highway 13 (enter on Griffith Avenue, County Road Z). The 125 acre park is open year round for outdoor activities from 8 am – 10 pm. There is currently 4.4 miles (7.1 km) of ski trails. Trails are by the River Cities Nordic Ski Club throughout the season. Passes can be purchased at the trailhead. Daily trail passes: $5/student or adult, free/7 and under; Annual trail passes: $15/student or adult, $30/family. Richfield Area Trail is located seven miles north of Pittsville on County Trunk Highway A, and then one-half mile east on Heggelund Lane. The trail, approximately 5 miles long, is routed across open fields, through forests, and along Puff Creek to provide additional scenic value. There is also a 2-mile and 1-mile trail. All trails are marked and groomed during the winter season.
