Psychological Clinical Science UTSC June 2016 2016-17 Student Leadership Opportunities Graduate Department of Psychological Clinical Science Curriculum Committee Member - attends curriculum committee meetings with core clinical faculty once per term to review and discuss course and program modifications; provides feedback on course syllabi; is responsible for informing peers of all curricular matters at hand; brings student questions and concerns regarding MA & PhD programming to the Committee for discussion Graduate Student Representative - attends clinical faculty meetings once per term; serves as faculty liaison, representing needs of all MA & PhD clinical students; provides regular line of communication between students, faculty and administrators; works alongside Program Coordinator (PC) to develop effective strategies to manage student concerns; co-chairs sessional student meetings with PC Student Ambassador represents the program both within the UT system and broader community; attends recruitment events to promote the UTSC MA/PhD in Clinical Psychology; meets with incoming clinical students during Orientation activities; works alongside administrative staff to plan and coordinate social events for Interview Day Award Mentor coaches MA & PhD clinical students on how to prepare competitive scholarship and award application packages; works alongside PC to develop and administer the annual Fall semester workshop on how to apply for graduate funding; is available for one-on-one appointments with students throughout the year to review award application materials Eligibility: Students must be in year 1 or 2 of the MA or PhD program to apply. All positions require a 1 year commitment, from August 1 st 2016 July 31 st , 2017. Applicants will be selected based on academic excellence and ability to contribute to the overall enhancement of the Department. Application Procedures: Applications must include the attached application form, an updated CV and unofficial transcript. Applications (electronic or hard copy) must be submitted to Hanan Domloge, Program Manager in SW427D no later than 5pm on Friday July 22nd . Incomplete applications will not be considered. Students are encouraged to apply for no more than 2 positions. One application form per position is required. Ensure your primary supervisor has signed off on each application form. N.B. Supervisor endorsement confirms the student is meeting program milestones and is in good academic standing.
