2016 partnership opportunities
TRANSCRIPT
Dear Members, Partners and Friends,
Thank you for your interest in supporting the mission of Shawnee Young Professionals (SYP).
A lot has changed since the start of our program in February of 2015, but what has remained
constant is SYP’s commitment to advancing the next generation of leaders.
Shawnee Young Professionals provides valuable and comprehensive opportunities for
personal and professional advancement through networking, education and mutual support
within the chamber and community. We strive to be the catalyst that pushes young
professionals to take on the responsibility of improving the vision and future of their community,
while focusing on developing their leadership skills and professional footprint. In 2016, SYP
plans to focus on the following facets:
Professional Development: to improve the skills and sharpen the tools necessary for
young professionals to engage and capitalize on the opportunities presented to them.
Civic Engagement: to take a hands-on approach to proactively identifying needs of the
community and committing to address them to the best of their ability.
Social/Business Networking: to provide the opportunity for young professionals to grow
their own personal and professional network, while facilitating opportunities to integrate the
next generation of business leaders with the existing leaders in our community.
As you’ll read in the enclosed packet, there are various opportunities for collaboration. As you
look through these options, we welcome your ideas and input and look forward to working with
you in developing the next generation of leaders.
Sincerely,
Linda Leeper | President & CEO, Shawnee Chamber of Commerce

Become a Partner
Thank you for your interest in Shawnee Young Professionals partnership opportunities.
Why Support Shawnee Young Professionals?
The Shawnee Young Professionals program is dependent upon corporate and community
funding to ensure the growth and sustainability of the program and its mission. Financial or
in-kind support is vital to providing well-balanced and valuable opportunities for young
professionals to make significant impacts in both their personal and professional lives. Our
initiatives and partnership would not be possible without the support of the local business
community.
As a partner of SYP, you will be providing the resources necessary to ensure the longevity of
the program. In addition to tangible benefits, your generosity will advance the area’s next
generation of leaders while supporting a variety of other local organizations with young
professional leadership and/or involvement.
How Will My Sponsorship Funds Be Utilized?
Corporate sponsorship monies help Shawnee Young Professionals remain a non-dues
program of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce. This encourages all young professionals to
participate, regardless of their financial situation. As the program grows, and the need for a
greater diversity of professional development and networking opportunities arises, sponsorship
monies will ensure that our young leaders continue to receive quality opportunities for growth.
