Ages Grades 1-6

Description Camp invention inspires confidence in curious children like yours. Build original

prototypes, upcycle and re-engineer gears and gadgets, explore STEM (Science,

Technology, Engineering and Math) enrichment.

Program Carlisle Arts Learning Center & Diakon: Art & Adventure

Ages Ages 9 – 14

Description A week of nature, art and exercise. Outdoor adventures include hiking, low and high

ropes courses, and canoeing. Art projects utilizing nature. Diakon’s camp is set deep in

the woods, surrounded by thousands of acres of forest.

Ages Youth ages 5 – 12 (Improv Camp is for ages 10 to 14)

Description Clay, tie-dying, jewelry, marbling, painting, improv performance and more. Sign up for

one or more weeks focused on a variety of creative themes like Art Rocks! Performing

Africa, Be-Jeweled, Amazing Animals and Museum Life.

Program Carlisle Arts Learning Center’s (CALC’s) Summer Art Camp at Hope Station

Brief

Description

The art camp at Hope Station gets the creative juices flowing. Campers have fun working

with clay, paint, found objects and many other art materials. Camp includes lunch.

Description Day campers travel from the Y each day by bus to the 100-acre YMCA Men and Women’s

Club farm, located about 10-minutes from the Y. Youth enjoy weekly field trips and

Ages Ages 7-14

Description Authentic 7-day resident camp experience. Campers live in cabins with their peers and

gain a variety of outdoor experiences, including alpine tower, crafts, low ropes, paddle-

boarding, canoeing, archery, guitar, kayaking, paintball, Color Wars, overnights + more.

Dates Runs weekly from July 3 to July 30

Hours Drop off is 3 to 4PM on Sunday at Camp Thompson. Saturday pick up by 9AM

Ages Ages 15 – 16

Description CIT focuses on leadership, communication, counseling and activity skills to become a

camp counselor. This is an unpaid, volunteer program. If selected, CITs may request

positions lasting from 3 to 6 weeks.

Program TEENS Soldier Experience Living History Adventure Camp

Ages Grades 7 – 10

Description Youth will experience the daily routine of soldiers as they trained to meet historical

challenges to the safety and security of the nation. Using the tasks, conditions, and

standards from historical training manuals, students will engage in realistic drills and

develop an understanding of the conflicts that shaped our nation’s history.

Program TEENS LEAF Project (Leadership Education And Farming)

Ages/Grades 14-18 years old

Description LEAF is a farm-based youth employment program in which youth work alongside farmers

and chefs in South Central PA. Youth develop essential employment and personal skills

while doing the meaningful work of raising food. Produce is sold to area restaurants,

donated into hunger relief, and used in a weekly cooking class with expert chefs. Youth

participate in a variety of workshops on food systems, social justice and leadership.

Dates 8 week Intensive Internship Program: June 16 to August 13

Hours 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Cost Paid employment program. Youth receive a stipend of $125/week.
