The story of Jacob Jacob’s name was changed to Israel by the Angel he wrestled with and later

at the place called Bethel by God himself. God granted Jacob blessings and

the land that He had promised Abraham and his son Isaac. Jacob was also

given the promise that a great nation would stem from him. Indeed, Jacob or

rather Israel had twelve sons, the 12 tribes of Israel! Read Genesis 35:16-

26. Trace Jacob’s (Israel’s) lineage by drawing a line from the sons to their

mothers. Discuss all throughout the week. all that you have learned about

Jacob's life and events up until now and how God has fulfilled his promises.
