Club of Foreign Trade University with the role of

Organizing Commitee President of the national annual

Marketing contest, ‘Marketer’s Spirit 2015’.

I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays

attention to detail. I'm flexible, quick to pick up new skills

and eager to learn from others. I also have lots of ideas

and enthusiasm for 17 SDGs of UN and wish to adapt

those goals to my current project.

What GCED Means to Me

“When thinking about GCED, the first two terms come to my mind are ‘Leadership Development’ and ‘Social JusticeAdvocacy.’ As one member of the young generation, I believe that I, as well as other young members of the society, will bethe ones who shape the future and move this world closer to the essence of unity, such as removing class division, racism,etc. to a higher ground of justice and liberty for all of the peoples around the world. And education, in my perspective, isthe passport to the future, and leadership is exactly the key to transformation, while social justice is the final destinationwe aim to arrive at.

I come from Vietnam, a developing country. Although I live in the capital city, I read articles, I witness people in my countrysuffer from poverty and injustice everyday. Also, a lot of the Vietnamese still lack background knowledge of global issues,and to some extent awareness raising campaigns in my country turn out to be quite superficial, therefore, as smallindividuals with no power in hand, most people in Vietnam are quite pessimistic about the thing called ‘sustainable future’.To some people in my country, human rights and sustainable development are unfamiliar terms, while injustice issomething they accept and have to live with everyday and they always bear in mind that they cannot change a thing. As ayoung person, growing up in the 21st century, I wish to change this fact. However, I cannot do it alone, and I cannot do itwithout being equipped with accurate knowledge of GCED. I wish to learn more about this field and then contribute to thesociety by address social issues, running social projects and raising awareness of children and other young people in mycountry. I believe in the hope when you choose to roll up your sleeves to make a difference in the world, and I do believe inthe power that helps us to move to our shared humanity and our shared destiny.”
