There will be no Children’s Church next week.

Families are encouraged to worship together through the

summer. Worship as a family at 8:30, 9:30, 11:00

Contemporary, and 11:00 Traditional.

Summer Family worship~ This summer our Family Minis-

tries Team is sponsoring five Family Worship Sundays: June 29,

July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27. On each of these Sundays, we

will have Sunday School for all ages at 9:30. At the 11 o’clock

hour, we will not have Children’s Church. We support our fami-

lies during worship together by providing Worship Bags for chil-

dren that contain activities focused on worship and the Scripture

passages for each Sunday. We also want to show our appreciation

for our Children’s Church Volunteers by giving them the month of

July off. Children’s Church will resume on Sunday, August 3.

Thank you for supporting Family Worship Sundays!

Building a Better Barrow ~ The youth of BFUMC are working, July 17-19 to help our neighbors in Building a Better

Barrow. For two days, they will go out in work teams to complete projects (in partnership with Habitat for Humanity) such as minor

home repairs, exterior painting, pressure washing, yard cleanup, and more. The evenings will be filled with fun and fellowship and

they will spend the night at the church.

You can show your support for our youth and our community by helping in

the following ways:

Volunteer as a crew leader or assistant

Volunteer as a chaperone to stay the night at the church

Deliver lunches and snacks to the work sites

Help prepare meals

Donate bottled water, popsicles, and snacks

The youth are not only serving others through their work projects, they will be building meaningful relationships - with each other

and the people in our community. What a great way to serve God and share the love of Christ!

If you know of someone who is in need of minor home repairs, exterior painting, pressure washing , or yard cleanup and would like

to be considered as one of our projects, please contact Kathy Brown at 770-601-7047, or the church office, 770-867-3727.

Stephen Ministry

SOMETIMES IT'S HARD TO ASK FOR HELP

‘We're brought up to be strong, self-

sufficient, independent people. We tend

to think if we ask for help, it is a sign of

weakness. So we try to keep our

struggles hidden, stuffed deep

inside. However, that's not God's

plan. Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear one

another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." God

wants us to care for others-and allow others to care for us

in our time of need.

If you're sad or struggling inside, don't suffer alone. Ask

for help. We've got a team of Stephen Ministers who are

ready to listen, care, encourage, pray, and help you

through a tough time. (It's confidential too!) Find out

more about Stephen Ministry by talking with one of our

Stephen Leaders: Kathy Brown (770-601-7047) or Jenny

Smith (770-826-0266). Our Stephen Ministers are there

to care!
