DIRECTOR OF STEWARDSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT POSITION

First Community Church is conducting a search for a Director of Stewardship and Development. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of all church wide, comprehensive stewardship and giving programs, including annual campaigns, major gift fundraising, planned giving, sponsorship initiatives, special fundraising events, capital campaigns and overall donor stewardship. Submit a letter of interest and your resume to [email protected] by May 1.

BEADS, BAUBLES, BLING!

The Tri-Village Trading Post could really use all that costume jewelry that you haven’t worn in ages, the pieces that clutter up your drawers or jewelry boxes. Make another person smile. Bring it into the shop any day from 10 am – 4 pm or place it in one of our donation bins at North and South Campus.

It’s Time… for the The Burkhart Luncheon!

It’s time to celebrate! On Saturday, May 2 we’ll be honoring Dr. Roy Burkhart and his mother. For over 70 years, the women of First Community Church who are at least 70 years young have been getting together for a luncheon.

This event began as a birthday party for Dr. Burkhart’s mother transitioned to an event called the Sweetheart Luncheon and is now the Burkhart Luncheon.

The Burkhart Luncheon is sponsored by the Service Board, in collaboration with the Older Adult Council. It is our privilege to offer this opportunity for these women to get together for some special “girl time”.

The event starts with some social time with light refreshments. A catered lunch follows with church staff and deacons joining the ladies. The event concludes with an entertaining program, which varies each year.

There’s always a lot of joy and laughter in the room… and a “goody bag” of cookies to take home!

This year’s Burkhart Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 11:30 am at North Campus. To receive an invitation or RSVP, please call the church switchboard at 614 488.0681.

If you’ve attended before, we hope to see you back this year! If you haven’t attended in the past, we would love to have you join us for the first time. Let us pamper you!
